Pretty much done with my wall hanging except a few odds and ends finishing.
it was fun and I practiced my appliqué a little more.

Hello Everyone, Skaduzy your WH is beautiful. Here is mine for this round. It is a technique medley. It is composed of: piece work, machine applique, hand applique, yo-yo's (red flower), EPP (blue flower), folded fabric (yellow flower), machine quilting, hand quilting. The leaves and flower heads are all 3D. Hope everyone likes it. Just need to put the label on.

Wow that's beautiful Heather. I had to wash the "windmills" one you sent me recently and the windmills stand out even better now. Just love it.

Skaduzy and Heather those are such pretty wall hangings. Well it turns out I. won't have mine finished for this one. I kept having issues where I shouldn't have, but my eyes are much worse than I thought. I just thought I was having a bad lupus flare. I am scheduled for cataract surgery in March. I will enjoy seeing all of your pretty creations, and hope to have mine finished for the next one.

I just popped over to visit. I was planning to and might be entering just at the tail end. I have some in progress but need to do the final touches.

Rhonda did you get my message that I won't have mine done this time to go out? I will be having cataract surgery in about a week. Some of mine I will be doing over due to mistakes. My eyes. after sewing small pieces get strained, and my vision was seeing different things. Go figure. I was so disappointed!

Everyone of you girls have made really pretty and interesting wall hangings.

Sorry Susan no I didn't notice that. I will take you off the list for this swap. Hope your recovery goes smoothly! My mom had her eyes done a few yrs ago and it was well worth it. But now she has been dealing with macular degeneration and has lost almost all her sight. She is 90.

Here is my wall hanging . I tried collage this time . my first try so very simple pattern

You won't find any Dresden Kaleidoscope online. I teach it and you can only get it from me. I do have tutorials on making them.
You will find Dresdens and you will find Kaleidoscopes. There are One block wonders which is a different method and you can find find stack and whack but they are different from my Dresden Kaleidoscopes. I will warn they are addictive to make LOL Basically you fussy cut with a dresden blade ( I prefer to make my own templates out of thin clear plastic) and make 10 of the same spot in the fabric,
Then sew them together to make a Dresden plate with a kaleidoscope look. I learned to do this in 1980. It has become a lost art and there is very little online about a Dresden Kaleidoscope. What I did find was not like what I do.

R-sea that wall hanging is beautiful. I like all the flowers used to make the heart design. I am a big flower person.

Curtain rod are Home Depot or Low's type stores. You can also find cute curtain rods there to hang your quilt on. I even hang full size quilts on them using multiple of these clip on rings.

Hope I haven't spelled anything wrong. Got my cataract surgeries done but have to wait another month to get my eyes checked for new glasses. So far so good. Loving the colors I am seeing now.
