November Secret Pal Sign-Ups: Closes October 31 at midnight. Come enjoy the fun!

This is a monthly secret pal swap. There is a sign up every month, and you can
choose whether or not to participate each month. You will get a different partner each month, and the person you send to will may be different than the person you receive from. Failure to send your package after signing up will be cause to be banned from all future swaps. Please do not sign up if you cannot fulfill your obligation. Have fun and be creative!

After receiving your Secret Pal’s details, go to work and put together a package with something you think your pal would like. There is a $15.00 limit on this swap that does not include what you have in your stash. (This does not include shipping) Most swappers do not mind like-new stash items. Please send items you would like to receive. Do not send smelly, holey, thin, or stained fabric or obviously used items that should be put in the trash. You will need to send me (Annaquilts) a PM when mailing and receiving. This way I can keep my records straight. Also send a PM to your SP thanking them. This is an important part of participating. It lets your secret pal know you got their package.

Please take pictures and post in group as everyone likes to see what you get.

Packages need to be mailed out by November 21, 2022, this is a Firm deadline. All International mailings must be mailed by November 10th Firm. If you know that you cannot mail by that date, Please Do Not sign up.

For international mailing it is very important that you mark your parcel as a 'Gift' on the Customs Declaration (there's a box you can check). Also, the value should be $10 only (even if you send diamond necklace). The person receiving the package is liable for Import Duty, Tax and a Handling fee. This can cost the person receiving as much as $40.

Padded envelopes are much cheaper to send compared to small boxes. These can be ordered free of charge from the USPS website.

Sign Ups will close October 31 at midnight PST and names will be sent out no later than November 4th (Usually the first, but like to give myself some leeway).

If your pal does not receive her/his package within a reasonable time I will need tracking information. If there is an exception on the mailing, you will need to inform me ASAP. No one enjoys not getting a package after they have sent one.

For me 4th of July is always good.
Other Holidays are harder.
ex. Fall, pumpkins and the occasional black cat works for me but I am not big on Halloween. So unless some one specifies I probably would not send Halloween or not more then a fat quarter or so. Same with Christmas, traditional versus cute Santas and snowman.

I do love celebrating different times of the year.

All but one name went out. We had a wonderful turn out so this should be a fun month with lots of packages going home.

All participants should have a name assigned by now. Have fun shopping for your secret pal and waiting for your surprise package from your pal. I am off camping at the beach with my 2 youngest daughters.

My package is going out tomorrow. It has to travel across the country.

I came home from work to receive an awesome package from hav4boys last night. She gifted me multiple red and white fabrics, a length of gold brocade (I also make clothing), a lovely fabric panel, 4 spools of thread, a tool holder, glass head pins, Velcro, three patterns, a pin cushion kit, a pretty card, and chocolate truffles!

My husband has informed me I have a package at home. I am hoping to be home tonight.

My mom has taken a turn for the worse. She can no longer move her body and has not eaten in three days and minimal water. Hospice has said this is the end. I just want it to end for her, but my heart wants her here.

I received a homemade ornament, angled lint brush (needed this), thread, block ruler, cutest card waller, candies, iron cleaner, fabric with pink flowers that I need for a project, clips, sewing machine needles, and the best yet... Mariner's Compass Stars by Carol Doak. She is my favorite PP pattern maker and I did not have this one!

Hi Everyone,

I received a fabulous swap package today for Deborah. As always, she totally tailored the package to me, which included sending my most wanted item - a thread trug. But she didn't just send the trug, she filled it with Valdani Floss. She also sent my favourite Kim Diehl fabrics, magazines (she know I love the American mags), the Alaska pattern by Edyta Sitar (I wanted this pattern too... I don't know how she knew) which I will start on in January, and my favourite Jelly Beans. She also sent Chloe (our Westie) a cuddly toy...... which she ran off with before I could get a photo!

Thank you Heathermom for all the goodies you send. Heather made 4 amazing placemats, one of my most wanted items. As you can see by the picture everything was very thematic, patriotic. I love it! Lots of fun Americana style fabric, a wonderful house wall hanging kit with fabric and embellishments, a heart pattern, dark chocolate, a toy for my little doggies, needles, cut squares and an amazing tree ornament made by her daughter. Thank you what a fun package.

I am posting pictures of my doggies as my little Nina on the left, 11 yrs old, just got a little sister, Molly on the right and more brown. Molly is still a puppy, 10 weeks old. I appreciate all the goodies send for Nina and now for both Nina and Molly. I just wanted to introduce you all to the new comer.

I received my package from Caroline yesterday. She sent beautiful batiks in several colors, lavender sachet from lavender out of her garden, lavender lotion, cute clothes pins, flower head pins, clips, thread, needle threaders, and a pattern to use with the batiks.

Thanks for spoiling me Caroline! I'm at work but I'll try to attach the photo.

I received a nice package of goodies from Annaquilts yesterday. It included a fabric bundle, small jar of buttons, a quilt square in the vintage apron pattern, 20 cathedral window variation blocks (I will need to do some looking for what pattern these are), a toy for my cocker spaniel, a bag of candies, hand quilting thread and a nice note. Thank you so much. Happy Holidays to everyone.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! My family and I will celebrate at home with the children that still live at home. Nothing like we have in past decades when most of our children were still living at home but I am very grateful to have several still here, 2 girls and 2 adult males.
