I think I'll just stay with one. We sure have a lot of swappers so far.

Betty J 10-28-2015 06:17 PM

Decisions, decisions, I decided to look through my stash for fabric today and I think I have changed my mind six times so far.....better settle on something soon. I am going to wok on a Christmas one.

snownannie 10-29-2015 09:50 AM

Count me in for 1. I love snowmen

Update on Elisabrat: So many of you have asked so will post this here. She has been in the hospital for 3 weeks, had surgery yesterday to open an artery to the heart and get the dialysis port open again. She has a virus that needs to get cleared up and then she will be going to a rehab center to get her strength back and hopefully will then be able to walk on her own. It's going to be a long time before she will be able to return home again.

nhnative 10-29-2015 11:48 AM

Thank you for the update. Sending prayers her way

QuilterMomma 10-29-2015 12:40 PM

If you get to talk with her, let Elizabrat know we are pulling for her and miss her.

Patchesnposies 10-29-2015 01:02 PM

Oh my goodness. The poor thing. I am so sorry to hear about this. Sending love and prayers her way. Is it appropriate for me to send her a small gift or at the very least a card? Does something like that need to wait until she is in rehab? That might be a while.

My heart is heavy for her......

ctyankee 10-29-2015 01:41 PM

Oh, no, jaba, poor Linda ... but I'm grateful for the update on her status. I am saying prayers for her full recovery. I had sent her a card a long time ago, but if she's still in hospital, then she never got it.

ctyankee 10-29-2015 02:09 PM

snownannie -- I would never have guessed! LOL

ctyankee 10-29-2015 02:12 PM

jaba 10-29-2015 03:29 PM

ctyankee, Steve reads her those cards and then takes them to her when he goes to Montana to see her. He does work 2 jobs so not alot of time but he does go. I think he talks to her on the phone if he can't make the trip, 220 miles. It's hard on him too but sometimes you have to do things that keep life a little organized if that makes sense. I call her and sometimes get an answer and sometimes not. She actually could go to rehab anytime, when the virus clears, and when I get an actual address I will post so if anyone would like to send a card that would be great. When I talk to her I will let her know she is not forgotten on this amazing board! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

klaws 10-29-2015 04:17 PM

Thank you Jan for the update on Linda. Poor thing has gone through so much. Do you know the status of a kidney transplant for her? Please send her my thoughts and prayers.

letsquilt 10-29-2015 04:55 PM

Thank you Jaba for the update on Linda, please send her my best wishes and I'll be praying for her.

ctyankee 10-30-2015 04:05 AM

Jan -- thank you. Once Linda goes into rehab & we get her address, I'm sure there will be a ton of cards heading her way! I hope she is not getting depressed in the hospital & that she knows we all still thinking of her.

kariboo 10-30-2015 07:18 AM

Nelco 10-30-2015 08:50 AM

KLTQuilts 10-30-2015 06:18 PM

Jan - thanks for the update on Linda . . . she has a special place in our hearts. Prayers are sent her way for a speedy recovery.

Patchesnposies 10-31-2015 04:20 AM

Elisabrat is a character. I really miss her as I am sure she misses us and her sewing machine. She has been through so much. A sweet genuinely nice through and through person. I am praying for her and her medical team.

ctyankee 10-31-2015 06:12 AM

Sent my partner a PM to get her preference and address, just waiting to hear back.

Update Elisabrat::
She has been transferred to Sheridan and will be there for at least 20 days. Depends on Medicare how much they will pay and for how many days. Her address there is
Linda McDermott
West View Nursing Care
1990 Loucks Street
Sheridan, WY 82801

ctyankee 11-01-2015 02:40 PM

That's good news, jaba! She must be doing lots better; at least, I hope so. I hope they didn't transfer her out of the hospital just because of Medicare. Thank you for the address. Is it closer to where she lives? At least it's in the same state as her hubby!

jaba 11-01-2015 06:28 PM

She seems in good spirits but she's got a lot of work to do. She wants to come home but she needs physical therapy to build up strength so she can walk again by herself. She is going to have to work very hard or when they release her, she will be right where she is right now.

Nelco 11-01-2015 08:03 PM

Jaba, Thank you for the update.

I sent a PM to my partner, Have ideas for a rug but will wait tell I here from her.

tesspug 11-02-2015 12:32 PM

I sent my partner a PM. Waiting to hear if she has any preferences. I have an idea if she does't. I got all the Halloween decorations put away. If they all came out of the box, why don't they all go back in the box?

Betty J 11-02-2015 01:39 PM

Have my Mug rug already to post to my partner. Hoping to get to town today or tomorrow to put it in the post.

JuneBillie 11-02-2015 02:31 PM

Thank you Jaba for all the info on Elisabrat. She is always in my prayers.

Susan

Nelco 11-02-2015 03:57 PM

Crqltr 11-02-2015 05:54 PM

I get to so a Christmas mug rug....so many choices! This will be a fun swap, can't wait to see finished pictures being posted!

sewbizgirl 11-02-2015 08:39 PM

I have pm'd with my partner and we are both doing CHRISTMAS for each other!

ctyankee 11-03-2015 04:09 AM

So quiet on here lately. I do hear the hum of several sewing machines, though. So I know that everyone is busy working on their mug rugs!

dee1245 11-03-2015 08:45 AM

I have corresponded with my partner, tesspug.

QuilterMomma 11-03-2015 08:58 AM

You got that right.

Leesewzany 11-03-2015 10:26 AM

I worked on Cuppy's mug rug while my DD spent this unusually warm afternoon playing at the playground. Did I hand piece? Embroider? EPP? Bind? Only time will tell!

sewbizgirl 11-04-2015 09:16 AM

Finally got my idea for my partner's mug rug. Sewing today!
