Sitting right next to you on that bench...Who's idea was it to sit on the bench getting cold outside and hear it's been snowing in parts of Michigan... bringing a heavy quilt out to the bench...

I received my package from Renee (gzuslivz) today.
She sent me a wonderful package including a box of tea, blue fabric, binding clips, tape measure, mug rug and a wonderful bag of buttons that she picked up for me while on a trip with her husband.
Thank you Renee for a wonderful package.
I am going to try and post a picture.

wanda lou 11-17-2011 04:07 PM

sorry upload failed once again, If you have a photo of the package you sent me please feel free to post it. again Thanks.

Havplenty 11-17-2011 04:43 PM

to my other sp, it seems as if your package got hung up somewhere during delivery. it should have gotten to you today but delivery confirm is not showing that. but no worries, if you are on the bench you shouldnt be there very long. your package is on its way to you. stay warm.

lawsonmugs 11-17-2011 04:44 PM

I was in a bit of pain when they left but it was worth it. then new medication gives me about 3 hours of relief. I take it 2x's a day. Which is better than less than 1 hour that I was getting on the old medication. My daughter is having another girl due in April. Her name is going to be Harper Reese. I can't wait to watch her come into this world. I've been present for 4 of them. Emma was by c-section so I wasn't able to be there. I also got a call from the Dr's office today. Some of my test came back elevated and indicate acute inflammatory problems. So I will have to keep trying to find a rheumatologist for treatment as it looks like I definitely have some type of inflammatory disease on top of everything else.

Verna I'm sorry to hear that you are leaving us. You will be missed.

Great packages received today. I saw lots of things that I would be happy to adopt.

Mary you went from not being able to post pictures to the picture posting expert here.

Thank you everyone for all of your support.

Lori I had a thought today. What if new swappers had to send earlier than everyone else their first time. That way if they do not send on time to their person, then the person who is to send to them can send to the person who the newbie failed to send to. I think that would cut down on people signing up and not following thru and their person would not be left empty handed until an angel sends them a package. Just a thought. I hope you understand what I am saying. Also I hope that I am not offending anyone be saying this. I know that life happens and there are exceptions.

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful evening.

Hugs to everyone,
Robyn

My youngest gd is named Harper Grace - she's now 16 months and what an independant but cuddly, loveable little imp she is.

Swap I wanted to do

Just before the board changed I sent PatriceJ a PM
asking about setting up a swap and MANY of you seemed
to be interested or at least curious as to what I had planned.

Well Patrice replied back to be requesting that I resubmit
my request after Nov. 15 so I just finished sending her the
new request, in fact I sent her a request for 2 different
kinds of requests.

So with that said we shall see IF either of them get the approval
or not.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Haven't received my pkg yet but as others have said it's still early. Robyn glad you had a good day and the meds are giving you some relief. Congrats on new Gdaughter to be. Juli hope they are able to do something to help you. Nice to see you pop in Krystyna. Cute pin cushion Robyn.

My sister is going to have her baby tomorrow. I just got back from the hospital from visiting her. They will induce her in the morning. The baby is going to be 3 weeks early since she is due until the 9th of Dec. She has been having high blood pressure. She was at our this this afternoon, we went out to lunch and then she went to her appt she told the Doc that her hand have been going numb. The Doctor has been montioring her and baby twice a week and they have been talking about inducing her. The Doctor told her the baby has no more room to grow, so they are going to go ahead and induce, so she in now in the hospital and will induce in the morning. The baby is probably around 5 lbs. right now.

Airwick156 11-17-2011 11:42 PM

I wish her the best with her new baby. :) Please keep us posted on all the details...We all love hearing about babies. :)

I forgot to share one of the best parts of the day yesterday. My oldest granddaughter Ellie 6 years old said Nana when are you going to teach me how to make a quilt? I told her soon, that it would have to be a day when just her comes over so that I can give her my full attention and be distracted by anything else. I'm so excited, I can't wait to watch her pick out fabrics from Nana's stash so that I can cut the pieces for her first quilt. I will have to carefully plan all this out so that she is safe while sewing.

I finally got my quilt magazines all organized the way that I want them. I have a small book shelf and had sorted by magazine and dates before, but every time I wanted to find something it ended up being a mess. I have been wanting to get those magazine holders that hold several magazines that stand on end, but they are very expensive. Well the other night in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep I came up with the perfect solution and didn't cost me anything. I just recycled the medium flat rate boxes that are long and wide and shallow. I was able to cut one into 2 magazine holders. I always keep boxes as I know at some point I will find a use for it so that it doesn't go to waste. Just reseal the end and mark the cutting lines, cut and there you go. If anyone is interested I can tell you exactly how I did it. Here is a picture of one of them.

Juli I have said a prayer for your sister and her baby. Congratulations Auntie.

This is the package I received from walk-n-roll (Diana) last week. Note the ice cream sundae pin cushion...the fabric is scoops of ice cream. The rolled up fabric (tied with selvages, by the way), is really 2 cotton men's shirts and 2 pair of wool pants. The booklet calls for both wool and cotton. Love those thrift store finds! The soup rug is bigger than a mug rug - smaller than a placemat. Perfect for that bowl of soup on a cold day.

I wanted that wall hanging!!! I made a table topper with my challenge fabric and my secret pal from our quilt received it. They played this "silly" game where you had to pass the presents around to other people. Kris tried to cheat and it didn't work. It was fun and we all received nice gifts from the challenge.

Hi Ladies - and Charles, too! Love Robyn's pin cushions. They're the best!
Here's a little quilted coat I made last night for Daisy Mae the nightmare dog. The quilting gets lost in the fur, but it's there. I think she looks verry stylish! Unfortunately, she wasn't too happy about modeling.
