I sent out my SP box and here is a hint: it's going to one of the 50 states of the U.S.!

mrsaj11 10-11-2012 12:31 AM

HEY, Good Morning all, just checked my tracking info my SP should have her package today! Hint it is going west of North Carolina

quiltnut4ever 10-11-2012 03:40 AM

Good morning all. Wonderful packages coming in and the hints aren't for me...I think? Anyway at work and just found out yesterday that my new machine may be in next Monday the 15th. I hope so. My son is flying in from Korea next Thursday after a one yr. tour and I"ll be so happy to see him and spend time with him as well. I mailed my SP her package Tuesday morning and I hope it gets there on Friday...she's going on a trip.

Ahhh ... not Long Island, but Long Beach! Try again.

OHHHOHHH OOHHHH I got a squishie in the mail yesterday!!! It was from Grandma Peg. In it I got a wonderful Sunflower pin she made from a fall colored yoyo. Great idea for the pin wheels! Also included were handmade crocheted rags. My grandmother makes these as well. In fact I went to see her today and she was making another one then.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE fall so there was a large piece of beautiful fall material! In fact I got an applique book for table runners in the mail today and this material will go perfectly for the fall runner. Also included was a "friction pen', I have not seen one of those before and am not sure how to use it. Any ideas?
This was my first package and it was a great one, (first of 3 for this swap I meant, I've done this swap for a year now & enjoy each one) LOL :)
Thanks Peg for the great package!!!! :) :)

She always sends awesome packages.....I love them

Okay Ladies.... I have a dilemma and I am not sure how I feel about it. Here is the deal....
As you all know I have Meadow (who is a guide dog) and I want to bring him to the family Christmas this year and it is being held at dh's Aunt's home (she lives in a million dollar home and it looks that way as well) and I got an email today from Aunt's dh saying that we need to talk about the dog coming to their house for the family Christmas. We are planning on going to Chicago for a day as well during the vacation. We most likely be driving back and forth each day(not sure yet) So do I stand my ground and put my foot down and say that he is coming to bad deal with it. Or do I just say okay if he cannot come and not go to the family Christmas, and let dh go alone? What do you all of you think?

Just lurking this month, but I did want to comment on Meadow. I agree that Meadow is now part of the family, but would like to just add a couple of thoughts. You say aunt's dh says you need to talk about it. Perhaps it is just concern for the dog's behaviour and once reassured all will be fine. But the issue could also involve the health of another member of the family. There was a time, when I was young and allergies were severe, that I could not be in the same room with someone who had a cat without becoming very ill. Even though my older sisters didn't bring their cats, and would dress and leave the house without handling their cats, I couldn't be in the same room with them. I would sit at the table for dinner and that was it. I guess I am saying that I agree you need Meadow to be accepted, but the concern might not just be for the fancy house.

The photos are on a styrofoam mannequin so you can get an idea of what it is supposed to look like - front and side view. Sorry for the different colors and the humongous size of the photos. I just cannot tame my camera and I always have to crop to get the size down. It does much better with outside photos. The color is inbetween the colors shown.

I have plans to complete my mini-quilt tonight so I can send my photos in for the contest. I can't show you yet, but I hope you will take a look on Oct 14-20th and vote for the one you like best. Hope there are a lot of people entering!!!

Oh, and thanks for the all your kind comments about my greys. My DGM and my DM had and have pure white hair - can't wait for that to happen. Guess I'm well on my way!! lol.

I forgot to mention what a wonderful job u did on this.....I know me an my two girls would love them lol.MAine is so cold..I buy the fleece one but how neat to have. Something this wonderful.....great work and FYI...I imagine your lil quilt will bring in the votes..good luck an god bless.

Sharon - Whatever doesn't fit in your SP's box you can just send the rest to me, maybe that cowl doesn't fit huh? :))

brenda21 10-11-2012 06:08 AM

Starshine~one of my packages is going to NY but not to Krystyna...had her last month :D

I want it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything Everyone is sending. Send to me!! DH would have a heart attack!! Love everythin I see so far. My package will go out end of this week, I hope. She wants something from my area, so need to go shopping.

greenini 10-11-2012 06:57 AM

OK, PM is off to Lori, I'm sure she'll get it long before the postperson picks up our mail which is getting to be 6 or 7 PM these days!

Since it's now on its way or almost I'll throw another couple of clues, it's S of me and I have stayed in her town at least twice.

Haven't picked up any clues for my package yet....and am home alone again as DH is off to a campout in Cherokee NC that I didn't feel up to going to so Ray and I are holding down the home front, Ray has already done his bit on the anti-vole patrol, but he brought it upstairs in the back hallway, maybe he'll miss them all til DH gets back:)

Come on! You guys can't have them all! We gotta share. Me this month, then Krystyna the next, and then me again the following, followed by Brenda and me again. Does that sound like a plan?

Crafty Darlene 10-11-2012 10:38 AM

Okay SP just checked tracking and it is still saying expected delivery is today, so hopefully you will have your pkg soon!

Krystyna, if you have me then pack it all. I could use all that you listed even the cat. Of course, the precious little thing would probably not be very happy once it got here seeing as how it would have been cramme in a box for three or four days.LOL
Anyway, I love bobins, can never have to many, love yarn, starting to learn to crochet, and love anything else so just pack up everything and mail it here. Ill love it all.

Sharon - don't forget to vote on the mini quilts, but vote for mine! I entered - here's a hint about it - it's a small thing and kinda cute. Shouldn't be hard to spot.

Wow, I am one lucky girl. I have a broken arm/shoulder, a husband who has been waiting on me hand and foot (washing ny hair, helping me dress, etc) and today I get the neatest box from one of my Secret Pals. Thanks to CraftyGrannie for all the goodies. Let's see - a Patricia Cornwell book (I hadn't read this one); candy (two kinds - chocolate and hard), Paper & pen, a halloween potholder and a halloween panel; an embroidery pattern magazine with some flosses; some Asian fabrics (with all the Asian fabrics I have, don't have these) and a piece of red Christmas fabric with gold squigglies (off my 'what special item I'm looking for" list) and a very pretty hand made necklace as well as a handmade card!!! Here are my pics --

Vanogay 10-11-2012 01:21 PM

Oh, forgot to mention the cutest elephant this side of the Mason Dixon line. Thanks again

Nelco 10-11-2012 01:22 PM

I hope to have my SP pkg out in the mail next week. clue #1: zip=14
