Thanks for the encouragement. I am certaining enjoying "Amelia" -- named after Amelia Earhart since she will fly high and take me into new frontiers.

I am so impressed with everyone's use of scraps. I made some mug rugs but didn't get pictures done. Will remedy that ASAP!

Rhonda, My friend, now deceased, used to buy baskets at garage sales, etc. to use as gift baskets. She told me that she would gather quite a few, stick them in her dishwasher and wash them on regular cycle, dish soap and all to get them sanitized. I would have never guessed that would work. Just thought some of you might like to know this.

That's interesting Sew! I may try that too. My mom and I collect alot of baskets and need to weed them out and get rid of some! LOL

Rhonda, what a fun thread you've put on here...I would love to join in a scrappy club! I'm all about mini's and scrappy's for that matter. :) I've been out of the loop for a bit with some health issues and just read this thread today...I have some pictures to share for sure, but won't get them posted for a few days while I'm recovering, but in 2013, my goal is to finish up a lot of my scrappy projects and blocks and such...this will help encourage me to get more done? I might be interesting in some swaps in the future, but not right away. I have a LOT of plastic bins filled with colored scraps...I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE crumb blocks and have one finished that I'll post when I can. Thank you! This has cheered me up greatly!

Here are the pics of the mug rugs I made from leftovers from a string quilt I made a couple of months ago to use up the scraps. But they are breeding again -- time for another string quilt or some other scrappy quilt.

Okay SCRAP SWAP!!

If you want to join in just pm me your address. Thanks!!

Okay I am open to ideas but I was thinking a quart zip lock at least half full to send to your partner.
I think colors and how small is too small is between you and your partner. I use anything down to 3/4" but I am a miniaturist. So I don't want to put a size limit on this.

I can post a swap partner list on a monthly or bi weekly basis. It is up to who wants to play. Or you can send me the scraps and I can send them out sight unseen. Any ideas on how you'd like to do the swap are welcome.

If noone comments I will give out partners and you can send a quart size zip of scraps to each other.
I'll allow a week for anyone to sign up and then post partners. I won't promise to please everyone but will do what I can to accomodate the majority. Sign ups will depend on how many people want to swap and when. I'll do this first one and then when we have enough to do a second one I'll post it then.

It doesn't matter to me if we swap or not. It is only one way to use the Club. Just a way to use up or change up your scraps.
