Love that. I hate it when the

Love those colors! another great job. I am slowly working on mine to exchange. Made a little progress today. Still shoooting for the deadline. :)

BonniFeltz 03-11-2011 06:03 PM

Update on me (if you are interested).

First of all....Thank you Dotty (doctcomdtcm) for the bright potholder. She sent me a pot holder to cheer me up and wish that I get better soon. It worked. I was smiling the rest of the day.

I went to the eye doctor today. He wasn't happy. There is swelling behind my eye so now I have to put in steroid eye drops every three hours and see him on Monday again.

I will be happy when this is all cleared up. It's cutting into quilting time although I get a stitch or five in every other day. The projects will get done. :)

dream56 03-11-2011 06:05 PM

Get well Soon - we miss you!

Thanks for the well wishes. What size is your topper that you got gramabiese? I love how it looks on the table.

gramabiese 03-11-2011 08:19 PM

the one I received is 15''X29'', perfect for on my table.

Wow that is a nice size - wasn't sure by the picture if it was a table topper or a close up of a mug rug.

again - I love it

Thanks for telling me the size. For me, not having a lot of experience with quilting, deciding on sizes is one of the harder things to do. In swaps, for instance, what is a "good" size, etc. This helps me out since I want to do a table runner but never knew how long they are suppose to be etc.

Happy quilting everybody.

gramabiese 03-12-2011 05:50 AM

We decided on the sizes we would like according to the size of our table. Living on a farm I get alot of papers on the table and didn't want something so large that I had to remove it constantly to keep it clean, this fits nicely in the center of the table and dishes etc. fit neatly away from it. Love it.

Nicely done!

Conniequilts 03-12-2011 05:50 PM

I am more than a little happy to announce I have NanaKathy55's table runner done. I hit a quilting slump right after the swap was assigned and wasn't sure I was going to get it.

Thank you so much to Bonni for talking me through the slump and helping to pick the pattern for this swap.

I'm also happy to say I finally got a binding to turn out perfect :) Now just waiting for the mailing address. I believe Kathy said she had company coming in so I expect to get it next week.

Glad that you finished it. I saw a pix of it and it looked great. I am still working on mine. I did something stupid. I tried to do some quilting and it messed up my eye more. Now I am having to force myself not to do anything for the rest of the evening except put in steroid drops. You'd think that I'd learn by now wouldn't you?

I did make progress and have it planned out. The top is around 75% done but it is clear that I will have to do this all by hand since the eye doesn't like the bright lights of the sewing machine, etc.

Connie-

Glad you were able to get through. Can't wait to see it.

To Rehrensberger:

Hi partner. I'm still working on your project when I can focus enough. I think you will like it.

I have been taking some pictures and showing them to Dream56 so that she knows I'm working on it but more improtantly so that it will be a surprise for you. I know you said you liked surprises. :) This way I can keep on the timeline and still give you a surprise.

Funny thing about sewing....you have to thread needls in order for things to stick together better....go figure! LOL.

Hope everybody is doing great and staying healthy.

Rose Anne,

Saw the pictures and it really is coming along beautifully. It won't be long until she gets it done, provided her eye holds up long enough to get it finished.

BonniFeltz 03-17-2011 10:06 AM

Hi Rose Ann:

Managed to work a little bit on your wall hanging today. :) I know that you say to take care and that you understand but I still want to get it done. :) It is about 3/4s done now so things are progressing along.

Had a good day today. I was able to work on your project today Rose Ann. Here's a hint! This is the last hint before you get it. I should be able to mail it out next week (God and eye sight willing).

It was an interesting project. I used a variety of techniques on it. Needle turn applique, fusible applique, and downright luck.

:)

Here is the bag I received from "Snownannie" -- isn't it fantastic? The embroidery on the front is to die for -- very detailed and quilted thoroughly around it. Birds of Paradise are my favorite flowers in spite of my half-successful efforts to grow them. The fabric on the purse is all colorful parrots -- also my favorite style. The handle are a technique I haven't tried, but will soon. Thank you so much. I will be using this as my main purse, and I will be wearing it with pride and appreciation.

(Oops -- sorry about the sideways pix)

gramabiese 03-20-2011 10:17 AM

That is wonderful, lucky you!

dream56 03-20-2011 10:18 AM

Oh my - that is gorgeous. Awesome job on this.
Oh my I don't know if I can handle following something that great - but I'll try.

Thansk for the picture Nancy.

dream56 03-20-2011 01:17 PM

Be sure to check out the beautiful table runner McQuilter got from Mim in February. They have enjoyed becoming friends and decided to remain partners each month.

Hey Rose Anne: Guess what I finished tonight. Yep, that's right. I finished your wall hanging and it will go out in the mail tomorrow! Thanks for being so patient with me on this. :) Hope you like it. I do. Our colors are so close together it is really funny. :)

dream56 03-24-2011 12:47 AM

Well I am just about done. Will get it finished tomorrow for sure. Penny hope you like it. I made a miniature paper pieced design wallet. I'll let Penny post the picture - but it may be a while since she is in Australia.

lindyline 03-24-2011 12:49 AM

Don't bet on it being that long.Last things I sent only took 4 days to get to USA. Others can take weeks. I'll never understand USPS, or Ausralia Post.

dream56 03-24-2011 12:52 AM

Anybody who won't be mailing projects by Saturday - please PM me and let me know what is going on. Deadline for Feb projects is Friday, March 25th. Most projects have been sucessfully swapped already. Thanks for the great job.

Remember to PM me when projects are mailed and received. Thank you.

What is the best way to mail? Last time I mailed to Australia it took 3 weeks and that was Priority.

I'm still trying to work that out. I sent registerd and it took 4 weeks to get there, I send just airmail, and it takes anywhere from 4 to 20 days. Now I send it and hope.

You're not the only one who is trying to work things out with the post office. WE never know how long it will take also. Oh well, that's the secret and surprise part I guess in these swaps. LOL. Can't wait to see all the pix. RoseAnne's was mailed out and she should be getting her teal surprise (my name for it) any day now.

Thanks Penny - I will get it mailed Friday. Take your time - I understand if you aren't done I knew the wedding is coming up and that's an even bigger deadline to meet. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

BonniFeltz 03-25-2011 03:20 PM

Sigh. Don't you just hate waiting for the post office to deliver your stuff? Rose Anne....your package should be arriving any time now. It was mailed earlier this week.

Nancy in Louisiana 03-26-2011 06:53 AM

Dream56 -- your bag is done and I really need to send it to you quick before I decide to keep it. Tried a new pattern, and it really turned out well, if I do say so myself. I'm trying to get all my obligations taken care of before the middle of April since I know things will go crazy before the wedding at the end of April. Bridezilla is still alive at this moment, and that's saying a lot.

OOPS! THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN POSTED UNDER MARCH QUILTING IN THE NEW YEAR. SORRY. ONLY HAD FIRST CUP OF COFFEE SO FAR.

YAY! Post office delivered and Rose Anne said she liked it. She'll post a picture in a day or two but today she is busy. Whew! That's a big relief. :) BonBon does happy dance now.

Glad she liked it Bonni.

Nancy - I am not done with yours, but I understand with the wedding coming up. I sent you a PM.
