Good for you LAQUITA, Are you going to share it with a picture. We like pictures in the swap!:D My background blocks are sewn together and I am working on piecing the surprise that will be on top of it. The background of mine is posted above and there isn't much to show as far as progress on it yet. as I finish some of the surprise I will post a picture of it.

Glad to see that you are working on it. The site has been very quiet through the Christmas season and I think it will pick up now and we will start to see some action. I like action!
peace

I drew out the pattern I intend to use. Now to go through my stash and find the right fabrics.

Magazine FYI

I posted this in other swaps that I am in.

Just a quick FYI.

I just downloaded my new copy of Quilters World Spring 2014
issue, and I must say that it is PACKED FULL of awesome quilted
projects.

So Far I have added to my "someday I want to make" list 19 out
of the 24 projects featured in the new issue.

I can't wait to get my print copy of the magazine.

Here are a few of the things I made over my two week Christmas vacation other than my WH.

A new work apron made from left over drapery fabric that a friend gives me.

A chair back for my work station: fabric cost .50 cents

A tote from vintage bark cloth and this cost $1.50 for about six yards, I think it used to be a curtain. I threw the fabric in the wash and look what came out!:D

last but not least this is the next step in the wall hanging, remember the wall hanging? This is just in the trial stage. I have to re- cut and design the flower. The idea is there, the execution of it is another challenge.

The inspiration piece. A small book of poetry, my DM gave me many years ago:

Found a pattern on my clip art:

My interpretation so far:

Thanks for letting me take up some of your time. I think I did well these past two weeks. Thanks for looking and have a happy new year, make it a good one.

Okay, here is my last project from my vacation, just to prove how scattered my work habits are but I had fun. They are for the girls at work when I go back tomorrow.:( I really don't want to go back but I have to pay if I want to play.

I will be starting on my wall hanging later this week. I have a couple of ideas and have to decide which one to make.

Done with the top, now to get it quilted and binding done. It's all about spring flowers and the greenery that goes with it. Hint for the day.....
