Rhonda's June Quilt Block Swap!!!! --Sign up by June 5
 

Okay Ladies and Gents!! We are going to do this swap for another month!!

I am staying involved this month and see if we can drum up some more players!! We don't want this swap to die out so help us fill up the slots and come play with us!!!

You can pm me and let me know what is going on with you all. I would like to know when you send and when you receive. Thanks!!


Sign up by June 5. Mail out by July 5
Partners will be assigned on March 4

In this swap you will choose and make a 12 1/2" unfinished quilt block I designed.
Then once you have your partner you can discuss color choices and exchange addresses.
You will send your quilt block to your partner and she will send hers to you.

Please let me know when you mail your quilt block and when you receive your quilt block.
If you are not going to be able to follow through or will be late PLEASE let me know.

You will need a 2 1/2" template.
If you need one let me know and I will send you one for free.

Please use 100% cotton --prewashed or not is up to you.
Don't use borders to make it 12 1/2".

hmmm very interesting, I can't get to page two let alone read all nine... I even re-signed out and in... very odd.

Silly woman there is only one page with 1 - 10 posts.:) I have a hard time sometimes telling that too. I find myself clicking on page 10 when I was wanting to move on to the next list in the Tutotial section for example not a specific thread. It can be confusing the way they have it set up

ROFL hahahaha.... OH my way to funny. I was so upset I couldn't find the other pages... I really thought we had a active group this round jumping in with both feet hahaha... Thanks Rhonda. hugs

I'm in! Sorry so late, just got back from DS college graduation (last one, thank goodness!)

Great TRF Welcome back! I will be posting partners here shortly. Anyone want to jump in at the last minute today or even tomarrow let me know!! I don't mind adding anyone within a day or two of the deadline.

How is everyone coming along? Has anyone finished their quilt block yet? IF your partner agrees you can post a pic of your quilt block!

I thought I would post a few pics of mine in progress. Cheryl I think I might even have mine done by tomarrow!! Can you believe it?? LOL

Here are some pics of my progress. I used the Kansas Dugout blocks and this is one layout. I have considered a couple of other layouts. This isn't my final decision!! But it is close!

I have never thought about sewing the dugout blocks into strips and then cut them out. I wish you had shown this in your tutorial when making a dugout block. It does seem a lot easier to do, then to cutting swatches.

Well I 've never done it that way before yesterday! I think Katie mentioned once that she did them that way. But I hadn't tried it til just now. It never occurred to me before. I am going to do a tute on it soon.

You haven't lost me, I'm still following you on everything. And yes, I did it in strips because I do the Boston Blocks, HS, most everything in strips. And the Kansas Dugout, is one of my favorite. And I love this block!

Yeah!! Hallalieuha!! I have your quilt block done Cheryl!! Aren't you proud of me for being on time and not late as usual?? LOL

Oh, I'll be back sooner or later, but I have divided myself so thin, so I have to stop a few things for a while. I learned so much on here that I just can't stop at one. And see you tought me so much, that I turned around and taught you the strip kansas dugout. LOL I'm going on vacation for two weeks in August, and I just hope I don't have withdrawals from my sewing machines and computer. But I won't be touching anything.

Oh my goodness Rhonda, This block is BEAUTIFUL, the colors are dancing and alive. I love your choice of pattern's, as you know the Kansas dugout is my favorite. I also have always cut mine into strips then cut. I believe your pattern shows that????? Or the one I found did. I have this one down to a penny. I also recieved the block and yhour awesome. Oh so beautiful, The flower part doesn't do the real thing justice, as they match the green and teal... After seeing Katie's green and teal I fell in love with it. Again, Thank you

Thought I'd check in! I've sent my block to TwinRiverFarm, but I'm not sure if she's received it yet. I'm posting a picture of the block I sent her. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I learned a lot from my 1st time of making your blocks Rhonda. Thanks for all of the help.
