So....I found the perfect fabric that matched just right but it was a stripe and there was no way I was going to get it to match exactly right so I did what any crazy artist would do, I deliberately mismatched it all and I think it gives the quilt a scrappy quality and looks a bit like selvage strips...so hopefully, ZZ you are not an everything has to be symetrical, lines up person.....having said that I really like the way the top looks...Cogito-are you ready for it?

I received zz's top today. The mailman delivered to my neighbor and they just brought it over, lol! Wow it's big! This will be an interesting challenge as I rarely put a pieced border on this size of quilt. It is gorgeous though! Everyone did a fabulous job.
Marilyn what colors from your top would you like me to emphasize in the border I put on? Is mine the last one? It looks like it should be. Di I absolutely love what you did. Very cool! :) Now if someone would just post a picture of mine, haha! |

Did everyone get a round on yours? I had just made my nephew a batik quilt so I had those already sewn into strips. |
