Hello fellow group 4 members. As, the point person I am setting up this thread so we can all follow along with our quilts. If there is anyone in our group that DOES NOT want to see the pictures of their quilt please let me and the others know so we don't post them.

Also, if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me. I look forward to "meeting" all of you! :-D

We also need to come up with a name for our group. If anyone has any ideas please post them here.

I will start by posting a picture of the center that I chose. I don't have a label yet, not sure what I am doing for that.

Hi everyone!!! So glad to be with you!!!! As for suggestions for names???? If we use the first initials in our names...MVPCLB The MVP CLUB???? Could stand for Moms very pooped club, or.... Many Variate (To alter; to make different; to vary.) Producing (yielding; creating; bringing forth; manufacturing; causing to happen) Club. Oh I don't know. Maybe something simple??? So many choices!! Here is my center.

Purplesharon are you still using the cats panel? Hope so - was looking forward to watching it grow. Can you tell I love cats? LOL

I would like to use the cat panel but only if everyone is in agreement with it it is larger than 24". It measures 28 3/4 x 21 3/4. If this is too big I can do another center. Ya just let me know. :?:

My husband came up with Making it Very Pretty CLuB for MVP Club. He knows how excited I am about this.

I love that panel as a center! Is it possible to trim the sides so that it is no longer than 24.5 inches?

I like this as a name! You are all so original and creative.

any name will work for me.

cutting the sides down will cut into the cats so I will do another center. I had another one picked out just thought I could do a quick fix. Should go with first instints.

Baily since I am mailing to Canada do you think I should mail my center a week early to see how long it takes to get there?

Yes, thank you, I have been getting packages about two to two and half weeks after they are mailed so that would be great!

Okay, since I will always be mailing to you, I will mail my center around the 1st of Sept. We'll see how long that takes then go from there. How's that sound?

How are we doing on names for our group???? I would like to put it on my label for all of us to sign. :-D

Looks like we have two suggestions for names:

1. MVP Club (many variate producing)

and

2. MVP Club (Making it Very Pretty Club)

My vote is for number 2. What are your votes?

And, has anyone heard from LHunt212 yet?

No, I have not heard from her. I want to get some info from her so I can ship my center to her when it is time.

Sorry ladies, I was out of town for work, with limited internet. Ooh the joy of German hotels with no wireless. I hope to finish my center tomorrow and I will post a picture.

Purplesharon, you can send me your center whenever you get ready. I love your cats panel but I know that whatever you come up with will be beautiful. One day that cat panel will make you something amazing!! I can see some of my cats in your panel. :lol:

Would it be okay if I just use a piece of fabric as a label? I don't know how to do it with my computer. I usually just use a piece of fabric and write on it with a permanent marker.

I vote for Making it Very Pretty Club. Here is my center. It is in no way perfect! But I am still new to quilting and wanted to try something new. Hopefully it wont be too difficult to work with.

Magnolia: The piece of fabric for your label is just fine. Some people will send a piece of paper for everyone to sign and then put it on fabric. In the end, everything will be great. How are we coming with a name???

LHUNT212: Your center is really pretty. I need to start thinking of ideas for borders. Or see if I can find a website that has some ideas.

i like #2 and i will post my center as soon as i get it together.

Those who have International addresses, PM your reciever and ask if it's ok to mail ANY rounds that are done early. We know it can take a bit longer to get from overseas to US.

Those who are US, ONLY mail this round early. The rest of the rounds PLEASE mail on the mail dates. If you will be traveling during a mail date, PM your reciever and ask if it is ok to send early.

We don't want tops to be piled up on people with everyone mailing early.

I am going to try and send out my center this week if I can make it to the post office on my lunch. Darn military post office is only open the hours that I have to work.

my center is done. just trying to get to my machine to make the label i have a idea for. this thing i do call a job gets in the way of my sewing time

I have that same problem! Why can't we work in our spare time and quilt from 9-5? I guess we wouldnt have much spare time to actually work then.
