Our first finish! Hurrah! Some of us haven't received the quilt top to sew the 5th round yet, so you have finished early. Great picture, by the way. You must have a lot of room there, because it's a big quilt top now. I think the turquoise looks great. And is that background fabric dotted too? What a treat! Good work! :-)

I suggest we all mail some time in December. Just let us know when it's in the mail, and when it's received, ok everyone?

Great job on the poodle quilt. I love that the turquoise and poodles both remind you of the 50's.

Actually the background has little triangles that are different colors.

Yes I have a large room that was used be an office for the previous owners. We use it as an office space/ sewing room/ guest room now. It has 2 large closets on one length of one wall which is where I hang my make shift design wall. We just closed in the other half last December and added a door so technically it can be called a bedroom/office and not a loft. I think it is as big as my master bedroom it was an addition above the family room and garage that the previous owner had added and it had a half wall and was open to the stairway up to it. It is a older home built back in the 1980's. So we have been slowly remodeling as we can.

I love it! I think the bright outside border makes the entire quilt pop! Great addition and Whoo Hoo one down 9 more to go!

lol "an older home built back in the 1980's" :-)))) That cracked me up.
Our house is an older home too, built back in the 1900's. :-) I don't know how many times it's been remodeled, but too many for my taste. I wish they'd left it alone!

Older homes have 'personality' that the newer home don't have yet. We have remodeled and updated our home too and have another project to begin soon. We have been working on our home for almost 30 years. We just keep busy with something to update it. We did this bathroom 20 years ago and we will be taking out the tub shower unit and putting in a tile walk in shower. I am looking forward to that.

Can't wait to see all the finished tops

I know old right there was a lady I worked with that had a 100 yr old home too. We are still updating last things to do new siding, a new kitchen and new carpet. By the time that happens all the other stuff will be ready to be updated again. It would be okay if hubby was a handy man but instead he is tech savvy. We had a brand new home prior to this but wanted a one level home on a dead end street so we bought this was the best we could find at the time when we sold are other place. Oh well can not win them all... LOL

Yes! The quilts are very nice! :-)

Mim, Just a heads up-- today I've sent the 4th round quilt top to you for it's last round.

Lv2sew2011, Please let us know if you have received the quilt top that needs its 5th round sewn on it.

Lv2sew2011 11-23-2016 04:24 AM

I have not received that top. I ask my husband and he said nothing has come except a small envelope from Australia.
