Lori take care....glad you were able to get them done

SazuBMidlands 09-17-2013 11:25 PM

Just to let you know the two from Lori have arrived :) I'll work on them as soon as I can, although it won't be for a few weeks. Very hectic with wedding planning right now (10 days to go!) and then on honeymoon in New England :D There may be some fabric shopping en route round New England though!

Lori Peercy 09-19-2013 09:22 AM

Can you post pictures? I can't get it to work anymore.

moonrise 10-29-2013 03:26 AM

Could everyone post an update, please? I'm hoping to get my "civil war patriotic" quilt home soon and finished up for a Christmas gift for my dad (Vietnam veteran). I'm not even sure where it is, actually.

As for my own update, I haven't had a top to work on in quite some time.

Thanks in advance for posting your status.

SazuBMidlands 10-29-2013 10:21 AM

Hi all,
I have 2 currently, which I got just before our wedding. I have pretty much done my row for the green/white/modern one over the weekend. I've also done 3 out of 5 blocks for the patriotic civil war. I'll try to get it done asap. Will let you know when its on its way out.
Thanks, Sarah

babeyruth 10-30-2013 03:32 PM

Sazu..wonderful, can't wait to see my modern rows! I plan on using it for a Christmas present for my daughter who fell in love with the colors!

moonrise 10-30-2013 04:18 PM

Woo hoo! I'm so excited! :D

Lori Peercy 10-31-2013 01:14 AM

I do not have a row and haven't had one for a long time. I finished the modern and the civial war sampler and have not heard rom anyone else.

babeyruth 10-31-2013 04:35 PM

Lori did you receive yours back?

Linda58 11-01-2013 05:38 AM

Lori,
I have 2 rows to send you, You should have both by the end of the month. I am moving back to Texas for the winter. I leave for TX Monday. I have worked on both, just not finished yet.

Lori Peercy 11-01-2013 09:09 AM

no I have not received mine back either

babeyruth 11-02-2013 03:42 AM

Hi All,
Just so there is no confusion, Suzi please send me the Modern Green when you are done. I believe everyone has worked on it. Even if not, I'll take whatever is completed.
I believe I have worked on all of them except Linda58 rows, which I am not sure what theme it was.
Thanks to All!

I don't think I worked on the modern green one, but I'll be happy to make a row ASAP and send it along for you to add to the quilt. :) An in-process photo would help me get a feel for the colors and design, so maybe Sazu can post one? :)

Hi Moonrise!
This would have been the very first one you worked on. According to the list I sent it to you when we started last year. Here is the pic! It's a great offer, but I'm pretty sure you would have added your row. :)

Lori Peercy 11-05-2013 08:30 PM

I had gastric bypass surgery and it was going to be lapascopic and only take 1 hr and be in the hospital for 2 days. Ended up open surgery and took over 6 hours and in Intensive care for 4 days then in a regular room for 3 days so in for a total of 7 days. Had to have blood during surgery and I hurt so much and am on really really strong pain pills. I have over 20 staples in my abdomen.

SazuBMidlands 11-07-2013 09:35 AM

Oh, Lori! So sorry to hear that. Hope you're on the mend and that you'll be feeling better soon.

Babeyruth, theres only 3 rows, including mine, and still 2 baggies of fabric. Shall I send all of this to you? Can you pm me your address please?

moonrise 11-07-2013 05:06 PM

So sorry to hear that, Lori! Hope you're feeling better soon! Yikes! :(

I haven't worked on that one yet. I'm sure I would remember it, because modern quilts are "outside my box" (LOL!) so I would probably would've been quite stumped at first, plus I would've had to go fabric shopping (darn! :D) because I don't have many greens in my stash. I believe my row would be the last one, since it would be coming from Sazu to me then home to you. Here's the list from page 2.

Group 1
Lori Peercy
SazuBMidlands
Moonrise
Babeyruth
Linda58

Either way is fine, though. I totally understand.
:)

babeyruth 11-08-2013 05:01 PM

Hi Lori!
You're right, Linda would have sent to you so you must have gotten skipped. So sorry! I added little packets of extra fabric to help with the colors. I'll be happy to send you the packet if you want to make a row but please don't feel obligated! thank you again!

- Ruth

babeyruth 11-08-2013 05:07 PM

OMG Lori take care of yourself. I hope you have a cozy quilt to stay warm and recover!

Hi All,
Well the lighting is lousy for taking photos. I've tried though. Hopefully these will give you an indication. Both look a lot better in person though - the photos really don't do these justice!
I have 4 rows (including the one I added) of the Patriotic Civil War Sampler ready to go to Moonrise.
I also have 3 rows (including the one I added) of the modern one, plus two baggies of fabric, ready to go to BabeyRuth.

I hope to send these out on Monday. If you'd like me to send one of the baggies from the modern fabric one to Moonrise let me know and I can include it.

NB Monday my time is several hours ahead of American time, so any changes let me know asap.

babeyruth 11-10-2013 05:13 AM

Hi suzu,
Your row looks really beautiful , yes please go ahead and add the packet swatches. Thank you so much.
Babeyruth

SazuBMidlands 11-12-2013 06:54 AM

The modern and civil war sampler rows were posted out yesterday to babeyruth and Lisa respectively. Please let me know when they arrive.

babeyruth 11-13-2013 01:52 AM

Thank you sazu! I'll let you know when it arrives.

moonrise 11-21-2013 03:11 PM

Mine came home today! Woo hoo! I'm so thrilled with it! I'll add one more row to it when I get a chance, and get her quilted. Thanks so much for doing this! It turned out beautifully. :D

I also got the packet of fabrics for babeyruth's row. I'll give it top priority, and will try to get it in the mail early next week. :)

moonrise 11-21-2013 06:03 PM

Okay, Babeyruth's row is ready to go out tomorrow. I'm thinking it should arrive within a couple of days of the rest of the quilt top. Thank goodness for the packet of fabric! LOL! Without it, I definitely would've had to go fabric shopping, and I couldn't have gone until at least Monday. Anyway, here's a photo if you want to peek. The lighting in here isn't the best, but you can get the general idea. Hope you like it. :)

Does anyone know what happened to my quilt? I have never received it!

Lori,
I think Linda was referring to your cats as one of the rows. I sent cats onto Linda back in August. She should have sent onto you. I will also PM her.

Ruth

SazuBMidlands 01-12-2014 01:24 AM

I've not had my sailing boats back, nor seen an update about them, for quite a while either :(
Hopefully both with turn up soon.

Thank you, I sent her a pm when I sent you one

Lori Peercy 01-26-2014 11:32 AM

I still do not have my quilt top back nor has Linda58 answered me.

SazuBMidlands 02-15-2014 01:27 AM

Has anyone heard anything more? I still don't have my sailing boats back :( If anyone knows anything please let me know.

moonrise 02-15-2014 07:45 AM

Is Linda58 the only person who is missing? Since she doesn't seem to be answering PM's, could whoever mails to her send her a snail mail letter? I don't have her mailing address (I don't even know her last name).

As far as my own status: I have received my own quilt top back. I don't have anyone else's currently in my possession. The last row I did was BabeyRuth's, which I mailed to her in November (just the individual row as discussed a page or two back). I think there's still a top that I haven't worked on yet, but I'm not sure who I'm missing. I'll be glad to work on it when/if I get it, but I'd like to get it sooner rather than later, because starting next month I've got some other commitments that'll be taking up a lot of my time. :)

Lori Peercy 02-16-2014 11:13 AM

Linda58 answered my message I sent to her. Her mailbox was full but she emptied it and she should be answering now.

babeyruth 02-17-2014 07:13 AM

Lori & Sazu, that is great news! I hope you received your rows soon!

- babeyruth

Scrapper 02-19-2014 09:34 PM

Sazu...I hope you get your rows......I didn't rcv mine back....although I keep my fingers crossed and say a little prayer and of course keep my eyes on the mailbox!

Good Luck...

Lori Peercy 03-23-2014 09:31 PM

I still have NOT received my quilt back yet.

moonrise 03-25-2014 04:03 AM

Could everyone post a status update, please? We need to figure out who has what, and when it's expected to mail.

My status is still the same: No rows in my possession, and I think there's still one I haven't worked on, although I'm not sure which one I'm missing. My top has come back home.

moonrise 03-26-2014 02:30 PM

I have Linda58's address now and will send her a letter in the mail ASAP. I, and a couple of other people, have also sent her a PM. According to her profile page, she logged onto the board today. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Best as I can determine, I think (but am not 100% sure) that she has both Lori's and Sazu's rows.

moonrise 03-27-2014 02:54 PM

Ladies, please check your PMs when you get a chance.
