Judy, sorry to hear that your surgery is slowing you down. It does not sound like fun!

As for the wedding ring and Dresden plate rows, that is my quilt and I clearly said NO STRESSING on my quilt. Grab some black, white, grey or any combination there of and go for it! Log cabins will work just dandy. I have never made anything log cabin so it will be a new, fresh additon to thing around here.

Lisa you are sweet and kind! Yes that I exactly what I will do!

Ok, so from all of that what I am understanding is: I don't need to use "Asian" blocks but ideally I would use Asian fabrics. Is that right? I should mention that I have friends in Japan who just sent me several yards of fabric for Christmas... from Japan :) Yea! for a chance to use them!

It seems to me if the fabric is Japanese whatever blocks it becomes has to be at least half Asian, doesn't it?

TIA for any help .

Pat, to the best of my knowledge you can't send a picture in a PM. You might want to contact the person in PM and ask for a private e-mail address if you need to send a picture to one person.
