I think the board names on the blocks are a good idea. I think of you all by you board names.

"Lisa Smith aka Lisa_wanna_b_quilter" Oops, I guess that's what you just said! And Maksi could just add her real name somewhere if she wanted to. |
I just sent you a pm I would love to join. I would love to have peoples board name on the block.
I've added you to the list, welcome to the swap.

WOW-EEEE! I have ALOT of scraps! I just went through them to see if I could muster up enough to join and now I can't fit them back into my drawer! This sounds fun! I don't have a guild, so if you all don't mind, I have sort of started thinking of you all as my guild...and a guild quilt would ROCK!
I wanna play! :) |
Darn it... Another cute swap. Why, oh, why?!?!
I'm a little confused, it you aren't going to have each participant make one block for each person, how are you going to divide them up?
BRT, there is a conspiracy to drive you crazy with tempting swaps! :D
If a person doesn't make enough to swap with the whole group they will get a random sampling of what was swapped.
Come on BRT you know you want to! They're quick and easy, after the first 50 you'll be a pro!

Not yet! Im keeping watch, though! Blame away. It is good to have a scape goat, lol!!

I'll play! I should be able to make one for everyone who signs up unless you get hundreds. I guess I can get started now!

Hi,
What type of pen do you use to sign your blocks? Karen "Craftybear", Indiana, USA |
Count me in for at least 12 blocks. More if more
people sign up. Thanks for setting this up. Catlady |
These are the pens I use, any fabric pen will work.

Thanks for the link. I need pens too.
I want one from everyone!! I will be starting soon.
In the instructions it said 100% cotton washed, my question is that if I use scraps not all of my pieces(color) have been washed, (the white will be) is this ok?? |
Try putting hte scraps in a laundry bag for bras, etc (or a pillow case) and run them through the wash.
good idea, DUH I should have thought of that
Someone had to tell me once.... Where are you in MI? I used to live in Livonia
i want to make a block for each in, i put done 12 but will change to however many people join
For other siggy blocks that I have made I just used a fine point sharpie. he only thing is that it needs to be heat set, so after it is all dry usually the next day I iron all the blocks.
I have not had any bleed or run. |
Holland
I've tried Sharpie pens and depending on the fabric they can bleed.

We live in a smaller world that we think.
What a wonderful idea! Count me in. I have LOTS of scraps that my DH wishes were neat and orderly... This way I can have fun sewing them, and he won't have to look at them any more!  It would be so fun to have a quilt block from each of this marvelous group!
