Scrappy Siggie Block Swap

3 1/2 inch UNFINISHED Scrappy Signature Blocks. Directions for the block can be found here.
http://www.psiquilt.com/2010/01/sigg...-tutorial.html

Please use pre-washed 100% cotton (required) and make sure your blocks measure 3½".

You make as many blocks as you would like returned to you, Blocks do not have to be all alike (a good project to use up some of those scraps) and send them to me along with a self addressed, stamped envelope for return postage, what ever it cost to send it to me, it will cost to return your blocks to you. Please be sure to put enough postage on your envelope. International swappers can pay postage through Pay Pal or contact me to make arrangements. Please be sure to include your board when mailing the blocks.

I will send you back one of your blocks and one each of all the different blocks..

Sign ups will be closed on May 15th, and please mail your blocks to me by June 15, 2010

I will mail them back out by June 30, 2010 or as soon as possible.

To make each block you will need:
1 3½” Square of white fabric
2 2½” Squares of a print
fabric pen

The group activity page can be found here:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/group_a...jsp?gracnum=25

Board name can be put on the block also.

Do we need to make at least 12 (as in 1 set) or in multiples of 12 or???

Dragonfly Nana 02-11-2010 03:06 PM

I'm in on this one. Thanks for hosting this NorBanaquilts

Up North 02-11-2010 03:12 PM

If we join do you want us to sign them?

NorBanaquilts 02-11-2010 03:29 PM

You can make as many or as few as you want.

NorBanaquilts 02-11-2010 03:30 PM

I've added a pic of a finished block.

All right -- count me in!! :D

Mamaskeeto 02-11-2010 04:11 PM

Don't you think there needs to be an minimum amount for a set. What if you don't get enought to swap out with everyone.

You can count me in for 12 blocks, I may up that amount depending on what I've got going on but I know I can do 12.

Thanks for hosting this swap.

mcdaniel023 02-11-2010 04:49 PM

I'm in. An easy block for my first exchange. Thanks NorBanaquilts for being our host.

NorBanaquilts 02-11-2010 04:56 PM

So far we have 5 swappers, if you were to make 12 you would receive duplicates, would you want 7 duplicates??

Hopefully we'll get quite a group of swappers and it won't be an issue.

Count me in, too, this sounds like an easy one for my first swap. I'll do at least 12, but would like to do one for each person who signs up. Thanks for organizing this, should be fun!

Just checked the list and there are 19 people signed up. I really want a block from everyone so I'm changing my count to 19 from 12.

I did cut out the fabric for 15 blocks this morning before I went to work so need to cut some more when I get home.

NorBanaquilts thanks for the link.

Maksi 02-12-2010 09:47 AM

I finished already 20 blocks today. I want to make a block for each person that is in. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks till post arrive form here to the US. My last envelops took about 6 or 7 weeks till they arrived!! So I'll send my blocks out 5 weeks before.

I LOVE this swap!

I know what you mead, I want a block from everyone also.

Maksi 02-12-2010 10:37 AM

And I like this block! I didn't notice before but when you put all the blocks on the table and you put the white corners to each other then you get another pattern. The whites will become squares! Thats nice. :)

NorBanaquilts 02-12-2010 10:44 AM

I've only made the sample block, can you post a pic so we can see what you mean.

Does this mean to mention the Quilting Board?

I think that means to put your board name in the package with the blocks.

Oops  I misunderstood. Now I have 20 blocks with my boardname ON it...

NorBanaquilts 02-12-2010 11:22 AM

We can put board names with our real names. Every one agree?? Maksi don't redo them, they can still be used.
