If you want to join PM me by December 1st the following information:

Your real name
Your online name
Your address
Your email address
Your special dates of the year, ie. Birthday, Anniversary, date you learned to tie your shoes. Any date you want to celebrate in your life.
Your likes and dislikes, color, technique, "want to learn"
Any other information you would like to share with your Secret Quilt Angel.

On or about December 15th I will choose your Secret Angel and send you their information.

If you are one of our "foreign dignitaries" I will send you both your Secret Angel's information as well as ESQMOMMy's information so she can disguise your identity. Thank you so much for this offer.

On or about January 1st 2010 you can start to send little gifts to your partner and wait with great excitement for your squishies and firmies. The exchange will last one year. You will send you final gift with your identity directly to your partner at Christmas time 2010.

Nope we will not be paired. you will have someone and they will have someone else. HEHEHE so devious. I spoke to Gai and we have a plan to allow me to have a secret angel too. I will know your likes and dislikes but not who everyone will sending to.

Is there any dollar suggestions? Like value of gifts, how often? I would hate for someone to be dissapointed. The idea is pretty neat! We would have to be creative to send things from diffent towns/postmarks. This is a fun idea.

Nope no dollar limits. I am unemployed and figure I will be very creative in making my packages so that my partner will be pleased. I don't think anyone will be disappointed to get even little gifts.

T....you know you are gonna be sooo :mrgreen: of all the squishies and goodies passing around. Maybe you should rethink this....afterall....it doesn't start until Jan...and you don't have to actually "make" blocks or a quilt (well, unless you want to) and the mailings would be spread throughout the year....thats the only reasons that I could do it.....for some reason I see swap and my fingers twitch and next thing I know..I'm signed up for something else!

Is there a certain numbe of times we should send things?!? Or just for those certain special occasions that our person has mentioned?!? I was just wondering if it was once a month or something like that?!?

does the gifts have to be quilting related or could it be anything like a candle or body wash things of that sort? Can a gift be sent at anytime besides the standard birthday etc? Can you send just a note saying THINKING ABOUT YOU? Everyone likes even the littlest suprise in the mail especial in the age of computers when people send e-mails and not real mail.

My daughter calls me the question asker, geeeee I wonder why??

Patti, I would love to, but with the move and address changing, I don't want anything to get lost/redirected. With the IRR, I can control that a bit better since I can have things sent to the in laws and it would only be most likely once that that would happen. I just don't want too many people confused. Know what I mean?
I'll just sit back and watch all the goodies fly. :)

i think it's left up to each individual's discretion as to how often to send and what to send. i'm thinking each month would be so nice though. i'm excited about it.
