I am excited ... I can not hide it ... I can't wait to thank my SS ... waiting patiently patiently patiently (okay not too patiently) :D

CarolinePaj 12-10-2010 03:56 PM

Goodness... I had the date wrong.... I thought it was the 7th December for the opening. I will pack it all back up and forget what I saw!

Hugs

Tink's Mom 12-10-2010 05:48 PM

Depending on the weather, I may or may not be home to open with the rest of you...I would like to thank my SS for a box that Tink is still guarding. I wonder if she thinks that it is for her?
I will check in asap...I know that I'm getting a bit antsy thinking that there is fabric in there and it is calling my name...

mrs theo 12-10-2010 05:52 PM

So, my daughter informed me today that my DGD's singing in the choir on Sunday evening. I won't be here for the chat, but I want to thank my SS and I will post pics on Monday!!!

tlrnhi 12-10-2010 06:45 PM

For everyone that won't be here for chat, just post pictures when you get time. No worries.

For those that still haven't rec'd packages....hang tight, I'm sure the mail is just slow coming from where ever the packages are coming from. So far, I have them all accounted for...or so I was told.

tolepainter54 12-10-2010 07:57 PM

Yippee! I received my SS package today. The good news is I only have to wait a couple of days before I can open it.

I would simply, just open mine anyway.

My present has been sitting on my vintage sewing machine for so long that it has a mile-high dust collection!

I will wait 'one' more day. :-D

tlrnhi 12-11-2010 12:11 PM

Why do you think I said "do you think I'd REALLY do that"?
Because that means I'd have to wait longer too! I don't want to wait any longer!

PurplePassion 12-11-2010 02:04 PM

Terri, What if your packages are magic? and at midnite they all dissappear?

Well for us in Australia, you aready have. It's currently Sunday December 12th at 10.20 am, well past opening time!!! But I will wait until tomorrow.

Tink's Mom 12-11-2010 04:48 PM

Terri, If you have as many packages as you say you do...you may need to start opening them 1 an hour until the official opening time...and that means that you have to open them every hour on the hour or you forfit... ;-)

magnolia 12-11-2010 05:08 PM

Only 22 hours and 53 minutes to go!!!

pamdux 12-11-2010 05:35 PM

This is worse than birthday gifts under the christmas tree for the next day. rofl

tlrnhi 12-11-2010 06:10 PM

I'm sure the packages that went across the big pond are on the way. Mail has slowed down a bit lately. Took a week for a letter to go 50 miles from me, so I think holiday mail is starting to back up.

Everyone hold tight. Not much longer to go and then the opening shall commence!

Where are all those that said they were going to help me?

Why do you need help now?.... all the names are dispersed and pressies sent... all you need to do is sit back and relax now right??? drink hot cocoa and munch on sugar cookies :D

tlrnhi 12-11-2010 07:05 PM

I need help opening all these packages!

lab fairy 12-11-2010 07:05 PM

I am a firm believer in a backup plan for my backup plan. If I have trouble with the chat thing tomorrow night, should I do anything special besides sending my Santa a PM (if I have their name) and post on this topic? Or will there be a new topic to post all the Secret Santa gifts to show them off?

tlrnhi 12-11-2010 07:10 PM

I will have a special thread open for all those to post Thank You's and pictures of what they rec'd.
I also suggest that you sent your person a PM to let them know you LOVE what you got. Sometimes the thread gets so long that it's hard to read thru everything, so a personal PM is good too!

lol...just tell Big Boy to go at the ones that he has been so interested in.

quiltingbee12 12-11-2010 07:33 PM

Is there a certain time we are supposed to open, or can we just open on the 12th??

tlrnhi 12-11-2010 07:46 PM

You can open anytime because no one will really know, but usually we wait to open until chat, then tell what we got and post pictures

Qbee 12-11-2010 08:13 PM

Here is my question....since my package went to Aussie via the Pony Express and still isn't there, should I at least tell my pal that it is in fact on it's way and what was in it, etc.??? What would you want me to do??

tlrnhi 12-11-2010 08:15 PM

Wait until tomorrow to reveal yourself. Since Australia is a day ahead, they may get it sometime tomorrow and telling now would ruin the surprise. So, just wait and let her know it's you, but don't tell her what is in it. Let that be a surprise
