Spring 1.5" Squares Swap- Sign up deadline is 6/1/12

This swap is for 1.5" squares (postage stamps) in sets of 50 different 100% cotton fabrics. Please send what you would like to receive. Limit is 20 sets per swapper.

*Please send me a PM to sign up, and let me know how many sets you'd like to swap.

*Please use quality 100% cottons only! NO flannels. If in doubt of fiber content, please leave it out!

*All sets do not need to be identical. You can use what is in your stash! :)

*Please MAKE SURE to trim off selvages before cutting your squares. Also try to be accurate in your cutting of the squares, so they DO measure 1.5".

*Please double check that your sets have 50 (or more) squares in them! We don't want to short change anyone :)

*It seems to work best to put the squares into small, snack size baggies. Be sure to label each baggie with your name, board name, etc.

Sign-ups close June 1st, 2012. Sets are due to me by June 15th. I will swap them out, and get them in the mail no later than June 30th.

Please include a SASE with adequate postage on it for me to send your return sets. An extra stamp or two wouldn't hurt. Our packages are "bulky" and get considered a "parcel"-per my Post Office. They charge more for that.
NO pre-paid printed labels!
If your sets cost more than what you sent in, I have no choice to hold them until I get the difference. In the last swap, I had several that were "over". It all adds up. Thanks for your understanding. :)

Please feel free to mail your sets early, if you wish.

General rules for swaps: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a PM.

Can I change mine to 20 sets? Didn't take long to cut 4 sets. I sent a PM but have not heard back yet so am hoping it's not too late to change.

Thanks,

Mariposa 04-10-2012 01:47 PM

Hi Linda- 20 sets will be fine! :)

lfstamper 04-10-2012 01:51 PM

Thanks Mariposa. Can you PM with your address so I can mail when I finish cutting. I know it is early but I will be away most of May. Thanks so much.

booklady- I have you on the list! :)

urgodschild2 04-11-2012 01:16 AM

When you say 20 sets does that mean 20 X 50 1 1/2 inch square??????? I would like to do this but I think I can only do maybe 4 sets of 50 squares.

Mariposa 04-11-2012 04:44 AM

urgodschild2-- yes, it means 20 sets of 50 different fabrics. It may be easier if you just cut 1.5" strips off of your fabric, then cut the strips into squares. You can get at least 20 squares from one strip. :)

Twisted Quilter 04-11-2012 08:40 AM

1 down and 19 to go!

Mariposa 04-11-2012 09:02 AM

Yay! progress is being made! :)

Oh in that case then I could do 20 sets too. I will have fun with this one. So sign me up for 20 sets.
BUT I can't cut mine and send them until I get home from Australia on May 4th. But I will do them and send them off. Yeah.

Twisted Quilter 04-13-2012 09:19 AM

I thought I had pre-cut a bunch of stamps in anticipation of another swap. Now they are no where to be found. Guess I'd better cut a little faster!

Mariposa 04-13-2012 09:21 AM

Twisted-- happens to all of us! ;)

bepositive 04-16-2012 05:02 PM

I hope I'm not too late! I'll PM you RIGHT NOW!!! :)

Mariposa 04-16-2012 06:05 PM

Hi bepositive-- you are not too late! ;)

sustraley 04-18-2012 07:10 PM

Mailed my 20 sets today. Hope they arrive in a timely manner to you. Let me know.

Mariposa 04-19-2012 04:51 AM

sustraley- I'll be watching for them!

meanmom 04-22-2012 01:09 PM

SO I am new to swaps. If I want to do 20 sets do all of the sets have to contain different fabrics or can I cut 1 1/2 inch strips and send 20 sets of 50 that contain the same fabrics in each bag? DOes this make sense?

Mariposa 04-22-2012 06:55 PM

meanmom--you can cut the 1.5" strips, and do the 20 sets of 50 pieces. :)

meanmom 04-23-2012 04:48 PM

I'm in for 20 sets. Sounds fun.
