Spring 2015 Postage Stamp Squares Swap- s/u close 5/1/15
 

This swap is for 1.5" squares (postage stamps) in sets of 50 different 100% cotton fabrics. Please send what you would like to receive. Limit is 20 sets per swapper.

*Please send me a PM to sign up, and let me know how many sets you'd like to swap.

*Please use quality 100% quilting cottons only! NO flannel, NO homespun, NO blends. If in doubt of fiber content, please leave it out!

*All sets do not need to be identical. You can use any 100% quilting cottons in your stash!

*Please MAKE SURE to trim off selvages before cutting your squares. Also try to be accurate in your cutting of the squares, so they DO measure 1.5". Rotary cutting these does help with accuracy.

*Please double check that your sets have 50 (or more) squares in them! We don't want to short change anyone.
Also check that there are 50 DIFFERENT fabrics.

*It seems to work best to put the squares into small, snack size baggies. Be sure to label each baggie with your name, board name, etc.

Sign-ups close May 1st, 2015.. Sets are due to me by May 10th. I will swap them out, and get them in the mail soon thereafter.
** International folks, please mail 10 days earlier! To make sure I get them in time.**
For mailing:
Most folks have been sending in stamps, a USPS m.o. or cash for a PADDED flat rate envelope ($6.10) (which I do prefer). It does make things a lot easier for me, and no worries about bulky packages. Delivery Confirmation is included. I can supply these envelopes, they are free from usps.com.
NO pre-paid printed postage! They are dated, and my P.O. does not accept it!
If you choose to send a different envelope, please, please make sure there is plenty of postage $ for it. An extra stamp, or such wouldn't hurt. These packages are "bulky" and get considered a "parcel", per my Post Office. They charge more for that.
If your sets cost more than what you sent in, I have no choice to hold them until I get the difference. It all adds up. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi dj, looks like you're getting an early start on this! :)

Must start early, may have a co-hosting swap on another site during that time period. Meanwhile, fought the snow, ice & drivers to get to condo to cut pieces for the Farmer's Wife quilt, have 32 6.5" blocks completed of the 112! Yikes!

I haven't participated in a swap in ages ( usually look at them right after they close) but, this one caught my eye... I've been wanting to make a new log cabin quilt & this will motivate me to do that, I can start cutting 1 1/2" strips, cut my squares & have my logs left over. Win-Win! And, I love the thought of spending a day ( fondling) 250-300 fabrics. :) so, sending you a pm with the vitals. :)

Mariposa, you are surely an enabler! But, since I've been sewing up some PS blocks, I think I better sign up again to replenish my stock -- like I don't still have tons of little pieces to play with. :D I'll PM you to confirm.

I'm making 64-patch blocks, doing leader/ender patches. I realize if I swap 10 sets = 500 little squares = ONLY SEVEN BLOCKS (plus some extras)! :eek:

It took me longer than expected to get to the post office- was working before they open, home after closed. I managed to drop my package off Monday. My receipt says they should arrive to you Friday the 8th. I sure hope they make it!
