I'm willing to host another swap directly after the Blue and Yellow. I realize that some have a lot on their plates this time of year but as long as we get 12 sign-ups we'll go ahead with it.

I've picked 3 combos off our to do list. The one with the most votes by Friday morning (EST) will be the one we do.

Here are the choices:

1. Chocolate Raspberry (Browns/pinks/burgundy etc.)

2. Fall Colors (Brown/red/gold/orange)

3. Christmas (Green/Red, NOT Christmas prints)

Please pick the one you would like to do next. We'll get around to them all eventually. I've been adding everyone's ideas to the list as they are suggested.

Thanks!

Tabby1957 08-25-2009 06:19 AM

I would vote for Fall Colors!

Gwyn 08-25-2009 06:27 AM

I think Chocolate Raspberry sounds wonderful. I vote for it! Is it okay to eat chocolate as we sew? I'm hundry. LOL Gwyn

wvdek 08-25-2009 06:28 AM

I like them all... let's see... hmmm... Ok! fall colors because I have a bit on hand and it is one of my favorite times of year.

Like the idea of doing them all at later dates. Maybe next year in July we could do a 'Christmas in July' theme and we could get our fabrics now for then. Just a thought.

Thanks colletta for organizing this. How soon will we know what size our blocks are to be?

Your choice.

Tabby1957 08-25-2009 08:53 AM

Great....I'll be looking forward to hearing more about the swap....when? how many blocks? etc...etc...

Thank you for organizing the swap.

Christmas colors might have a more consistent definition for everyone and end up going together better. Christmas red and green is pretty much the same to everyone.

Kyiav10 08-25-2009 01:14 PM

Fall colors!

Cynthiatries 08-25-2009 01:27 PM

Yum, Yum, Yum to chocolate and raspberries!!!

MaineGirl76 08-25-2009 01:51 PM

Oooo I want to play too! My vote is for Chocolate Raspberry! :)

Sew and Sew 08-25-2009 01:53 PM

I guess I need a sample of what you call rasberry? Anyone if you could post a pic, and when would this one start and end. Sorry about the questions, but I soooooooooooooooooooooo want to join at least one swap.

imjustme 08-25-2009 02:01 PM

Chocolate Rasb.

alaskasunshine 08-25-2009 02:13 PM

Ok, seeing as I made a "Chocolate and Raspberry" quilt and I love it, I'll vote for "Fall", only because I don't have a fall quit!

I like the idea to buy after Christmas for next year.

BlueChicken 08-25-2009 02:21 PM

I vote Fall too! :-)

Gennynut 08-25-2009 02:21 PM

I've never done a block Swap. Is the pattern up to us? I'd love to do Raspberry and Choc at sometme but right now I'd vote for Fall colors.

collettakay 08-25-2009 02:43 PM

This is where I first saw the combo:

http://www.connectingthreads.com/fab...it_KD2056.html

Then not long after I saw this:

http://quilting.about.com/b/2009/06/...-pinwheels.htm

The swap would most likely have a mail by date of October 31st and be a 12.5" unfinished block pattern of your choice.

kluedesigns 08-25-2009 02:48 PM

i like the brown with the pink (the pinwheel) but i don't care for the brown with the burgundy. i think those 2 colors together look too dark.

Sew and Sew 08-25-2009 02:50 PM

Now I am confused, because I love the brown and dark rasberry, but i do not like the pinks.........funny huh.........now i do not know what to do......will have to think on it i guess. I have so many quilts of fall colors and one christmas.........oh my........

well, i think thats your vote right there, you've got the other ones.

Harmony 08-25-2009 03:21 PM

Chocolate raspberry!

amazon 08-25-2009 03:38 PM

I'm in chocolate/raspberries is my vote.

quiltnut4ever 08-25-2009 03:38 PM

I think we could probably add creams to the mix also.

quiltnut4ever 08-25-2009 04:19 PM

that would be wonderful with the creams!

kluedesigns 08-25-2009 04:23 PM

that would lighten it up - very cool.

Esqmommy 08-25-2009 04:26 PM

I feel like the chocolate rasberry can be such a range, and by the two postings you put up Colletta, very different. I love the lighter but intensly dislike the darker colors of brown/burgandy.

I'll keep my vote for the fall colors and keep my fingers crossed!

kluedesigns 08-25-2009 04:31 PM

my vote is still for the fall too

but i was wondering, wouldn't the choc/rasp be cream & brown with the raspberry ranging from pink to burgundy?
