I'm interested. I lived in Seattle for 20+ years and the hot air balloons flew right over my house. Pretty cool. Good memories. :thumbup:

I'd do hot air balloons, assuming I can find/make up a pattern... and that whoever hosts it doesnt mind an international.

Regardless of what pattern/fabric selection is made I hope you participate. I would be thrilled to receive a block from the UK.

I like batiks... the funky chicken swap is doing blocks in muliples of 3 and so far it looks like it will come out really cool.

Yes, please take part. Mind an international? I would welcome a block from the UK. :-) I may need some help figuring out what to do, but I think it will a lot of fun.

Just a thought, there are 4 themes, how about have a sign up for all 4. I have yet to see a swap not get enough. I say that but I dont do any of the work in the background and I assume it could be a devil to keep track of everything. maybe there would be 4 people to do one of each of the swaps.????? I like them all so i have no choice. Id do whatever.

I've never participated in a block swap...was going to with the Chocolate Raspberry block swap then didn't . I think I'd like to do this next one.

I vote for 12 inch blocks and the batiks or the black/white and brights would suit me.

Oh my goodness, I think it is so exciting that we get to know and hear from people all over the world. It makes our world seem a little closer, don't you think?

I will do a hot air balloon if there are enough people to swap. I too love them. We lived in the country when we lived in Ft. Wayne, IN ad they would come right over our house, scare our dogs to death. They would come even in the winter and then they had a big festival in the spring. If a balloon landed in a farmers field he got a free bottle of sparkly to drink and a free ride. So the farmers didn't mind too much. But they were so beautiful. My uncle in Sioux Falls, SD designed them for the Raven Corp. I always wanted to ride one, thought maybe for my big 50 birthday maybe my husband would surprise me, then I thought maybe for my 60th now I am headed toward the 70th. I don't know if I could get in the basket now...

Let's see how many want to balloons, and if there at least 12, I will host the swap if no one has any objections.
