Okay, as of today, 5/26 I have blocks from the following, as well as a HUGE box from Norbana. Blocks from: moneymndr, 5quiler, Claudia Paula, Brenda B, Nancy in Louisianna, cooper715, nena, mishnJIM, batmomma, nettie, Karen 1322, benndm, Karen Barnes, gramdma5, PennieJanine, purple sharon, janecat, moosegirl. WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!! THE POSTMAN HAS BEATEN A PATH TO MY DOOR. THE BLOCKS ARE ALL SO GREAT, YOUR QUILTS ARE GOING TO LOOK FABULOUS. and thanks for the little extras that seemed to jump in the packages. Certainly not necessary, but so appreciated. I will wait till Friday, June 4th before I start to sort, as there will be some packages late in coming due to the holiday. Again, thanks to all the participants for making this such a successful swap. If you have any problems, please pm me. Oh, I just can't wait............

It looks like you've received blocks from only 18 quilters? Are there more in the box that NorBana sent, or did her box include those 18? Just curious. I know several of us mailed this week, but the activity list has over 70 people signed up. Either some have dropped out, or you may be getting a whole mail truck full showing up soon. Can you imagine . . . dozens and dozens of sets all coming in at once! Yipes, what a sight that would be! If you fear that happening, you might want to be wearing a locator beacon so you can be rescued from under the mountain of envelopes! LOL. Thanks again for taking this on.

My name isn't on the list you just posted, but I know you said you had received mine.

Thanks for posting that you have received my blocks. Does anyone have any ideas how you are going to set your blocks together?

I've been watching this thread from the day I decided to join this swap and I am so amazed at all the wonderful blocks I've seen and the great comments from everyone. I can't wait to see what blocks I get and am already wishing I had made more than 1 set so I could receive more. I am so looking forward to seeing the finished tops. I just wish the days would go by faster!

Thank you ladies!! I can't wait to get all the blocks back!! That is when the fun begins! All the playing with those beautiful blocks to make a splendid quilt! I plan on giving mine to my nephew, who did 2 terms in Iraq.

I do have a question....I did not sew the border at the outer edges. Should I leave them open, so each person that gets one could decide mitered or straight? Or should I just sew them straight? I personally thought that the first idea was best so it could be adjusted to choice and setting.

What I have seen so far is finished edges. And as far as not seeing your name on the last list, those names are just those that came in this week. To see the current list go to HOME, then GROUP ACTIVITY, then on R/W/B swap. Most of them have come in. A couple did drop out, but there is still 70 or so participating. I have already sorted them out, put one of what you sent to me back in your envelope. I can see definate patterns emerging, I will do my very best to coordinate your own block with others. This is the first time I have had to put blocks together, I hope you all will be pleased with what I come up with. I have done everything but lock the door so no one will disturb your hard work.

Deb, the task seems totally overwhelming to me and a lot of fun too. Since this is my first block swap, I was wondering how you make it all work. There are soooooo many blocks. I hope you will have more fun with them and I won't be disappointed with whatever I get. It has been so much fun seeing everyone's beautiful handiwork. I'm so glad I did 2 sets!!! I really wanted to do enough to get one of each, but that didn't work out. I have no idean how I'm gonna put them together, but I'm gonna have a ton of fun figuring it out. :-) Thank you again, Deb for doing such a great job and taking this on. :-)
