Thank you all for the color information. I think my fabric is fine. :-)

I am going to do a Disappearing 9 patch for my block ... unless that is the same as a 9 patch variation.

It time to start thinking about the next block swap to be done after the red/white/blue has been completed. Anyone interested in another swap? Suggestions are welcome. Once I get some ideas I'll post a thread for voting.

In any swap like this, there will be varying shades used. I think they will all be beautiful together. Also, just to note, some participants may not be from the USA. SazuBMidlands is from the UK. :-D :-D
Thanks for thinking of me. Its very sweet.
We have a very similar coloured flag though, so red white and blue would work as patriotic colours for me too, and based on flag colours I guess for others too :-)

I have what I think are true blue colours for the red and blue.

Forgot to ask - are we prewashing fabrics? It doesnt say in the post on the first page :-S
I dont mind either way, since I always was with colour catchers the first couple of times, but we are using red...

Yes pre-wash fabric, I've updated the guidelines. Thanks for catching that.

I would love to be included in the next swap, unless my blocks don't turn out and everyone hates me after this one. This is my first one, but I will try really hard to do a good job.

I'd like to make another set of blocks, called Marching Band. It is found in a book called Scraps, Blocks and Quilts.
