Where is everybody and what are you all up to? Have been crocheting a lot lately. I find it fun and relaxing. I prefer thread crochet. It absolutely amazes me how you can take a simple teeny string and turn it into beautiful edgings, coasters, etc.

we just got back from an overnight trip to NYC. Was busy - got to see two museums, eating, spent time with a niece, eating, people watching, eating, walking. I am now sitting here looking at dolphins. Realized that what I had put aside to use is not the colors that was wanted. took out all my stash (and in an RV they are really stashed) and starting to play.
ssnare - do you want a square or rectangle? I could add an extra wide border on top and bottom if you want. Let me know.
And Wonnie - I have so many pieces of material that will work with yours it will be a difficult decision to make!

Just so happy to be able to work on both of yours

Janet, what colors were you going to use for my top? I think I would like rectangle.

The pattern I had with whales was more purple and orange. Didn't match. Plan on putting a narrow aqua and narrow sand to start imitating what you had done. then I will add a larger border having the top and bottom wider than sides. I have lotsa blues to work with.
    I think I can,,,,I think I can!!

And Jane - patience!! It will take me some time

Great to hear from everyone ! Can't believe it's going down to 38 degrees tonight! Not complaining...love summer but cool at night is just fine with me. Been trying to get a few tomato plants in the ground but still too chilly. Will be in 60's tomorrow. Over to my granddaughter's early in the morning to help her decorate cupcakes for her mother for a Habitat event in the evening.

I had so much fun today!! I really enjoyed working on this top.
Since I am new the area it is not always easy to find stores. The other day I went, with the written directions from website, to find the Joanns for just one more fabric to go with this. Alas the directions ended up taking me to Walmart and Michaels. UGH! Forgot my phone so couldn't even go online to find out where the quilt store or joanns was located. So I did go into Michaels and found two FQ of this cute blue fishy material. I added some waves to the bottom and top to make it rectangle. Then I thought of portholes/ aquarium viewing windows and made them around the edges. Pictures aren't so good as it has gotten windy, but you get the idea
    Sure hope you like it
