I bet you will be as surprised about yours. The pictures just don't do it justice.

The fabric you picked is perfect, Kathy. It has lots of gold in it which makes it shine and sparkle up close.

I've been thinking about HOW to quilt this baby. Decided to do it myself. After reading some horror stories about LAs - no way am I letting go of this project. Heck, if someone is going to mess it up, it shall be me. hehe

I have a fabulous LAQ who does beautiful work.Since I started going to her, I haven't machine quilted a thing. I'm not even sure I would know where to begin again if I had too! I found I love piecing the tops much more. I can't wait to see what you do with this one, it is so beautiful.

I just realized that I have to buy backing fabric for my top. Oh darn the bad luck. While I have large pieces, I have nothing that goes with an Asian flair.

There were more fabrics in the collection that the border fabric came from. If you would like me to purchase some for you let me know, or I can find you an on line spot that carries the same selection. Let me know!!!

Thanks Kath, but we have a store that specializes in Asian prints and I shall take Robin for a trip down there to see what speaks to me.

Balinda,
Your top is going out priority mail tomorrow morning--should hopefully be there by Thursday at the latest. It's so cheery...hope you enjoy it.
