It was suggested to me that I should join in this swap. Could someone please explain what it entails? Thank you for your patience with the newcomer.

Yiaya -- we get to send a small box of holiday treasures to one another. You are someone's Secret Santa!
Do a search for the Secret Santa 2022 thread and read the info on the first page (rules) and then check out the pictures of treasures received towards the end of the postings. You have a limit of new cash that you can spend. ($20). You must send 4 fat quarters. Whatever else you want to send is up to you. It is a great way to repurpose items that you have that you may not be using but are in great shape. Everyone fills out their list and if you see things on the list that you have on hand that you want to send, go for it. Repurposed items, baked goods, home-made items, like mug rugs, do not count in your $20 cash limit spending. You may have everything on hand already and so do not need to spend any money. The idea is to make the receiver giggle with what you've selected for them. Hopefully, you will be giggling, too, with whatever your Secret Santa sent you.
I enjoyed myself the first time I did it but have been insanely busy and so haven't done it for a while. This may be the year to jump back in for me.
