I've had to go back several pages to catch up with all the quilts that have arrived recently, and they are all stupendous. Mine as gone off the PV quilter, and hers is on its way to me, so we are both just waiting at the moment (not to patiently on my side). I have promised to post pics of both when I get mine, so watch this space.

So Gai where did you live before Texas? Maybe you could do the state you grew up in?

I felt rude, but figured my kids are more important in the long run...

Ah, Esq, that's too bad! If it HAD been us, you can bet that we would have come over and introduced ourselves! Nothing shy about this group. Or maybe it's just good old-fashioned nosiness! Nah, it can't be that, it's FRIENDLINESS, isn't that right K, & K & T & R & L?!

Here's a bunch of hugs from me (and all of us!). Can't wait to see k3n's quilt!

I belonged to a guild before I moved and I found that was my problem, everyone was friendly with the people they knew. Now when I did introduce myself it was fine, not great, but okay. I much prefer the people I talk to here!!! I have never had a question I couldn't get the answer to here!!

Oh and in other news, Gaigai, I sent out your quilt and goodies today!!!
I hope you like it!!! I am still impatiently waiting for my parcel from Texas!! Probably not until next week but we will see!!

I tried to connect with quilters in my area but it was a no go. They have their groups thtat have met for years and tho I have known most of these people the whole time I was growing up and they have seen my work. Not a one has asked if I would like to come. I did classes in my home and one of the leaders of this quilt community took my class and that was that. When they got together to make a quilt to donate she simply told me she didn't have time to come to class anymore. She never told me she was heading up a charity quilt. I found out later. That makes me feel unwanted even if I probably wouldn't have done alot I think you should still ask someone you know is a quilter!

Oh goody! Kendra, usps tracking said your quilt left Chicago on the 21st at 5:30 am for Canada,so hopefully you will get it shortly. It is insured, so I don't know if you will have to sign for it.
