Let's have some wintery snowman good times! Snowmen can be on a hill, by a house, ice fishing, skiing, playing games, ice skating, singing, on a sled, dancing with friends, and such. Or do you have some cute snowman fabrics? Use those too!
This swap is for 12.5" unfinished (12" finished) blocks.
Blocks to be in sets of 4. Limit of 5 sets per swapper. Total of 20 blocks. All blocks will be swapped out, so make an extra of each design for yourself, if you so choose.
Each set of 4 should be a same design, but the fabrics may vary. Only 1 set of any design. This gives you opportunity to try out a few of those block patterns that you have been meaning to do!
For embellishments: NO paints or glues or items that can't handle washing and drying. Please make sure all edges of fabrics are sewn down. 3-D items: please put in a baggie and include with your block.
This swap is open to all skill levels.
Be sure to use quality PRE-WASHED 100% cotton fabrics. (NO muslin, poly-blends, or see-through fabrics)
Blocks can be made using traditional piecing, paper piecing, embroidered, appliqued, or combinations thereof.
(*If using applique, all pieces must be sewn down in some manner. Please do not use mono-filament thread.)
Please check to make sure your blocks are 12.5" square. Not 12 3/8", etc. Please also check for any holes or tears, or inadequate seam allowances that would make them unfit to swap. Tidy up the back of block as well.
Put a small label on each block, including your real name and board name.
For Mailing: please put blocks in a large ziploc baggie along with your name and address on/in the bag. This will help protect your blocks in case your package gets damaged.
Include a USPS money order or cash for $6.00 to cover return postage to you. Blocks will be sent in padded flat rate envelopes, with Delivery Confirmation. I get these envelopes free from usps.com.
If proper postage is not sent, your package will wait until adequate funds are received. Please do not send your own envelopes.
Sign ups are open until Oct. 15th, 2013. Blocks need to be TO ME by Oct. 30th, 2013. Blocks received after that date will have to be returned to you unswapped. Please understand.
Please send me a PM to sign up, so I don't miss you. If you know how many sets you will be sending in, that would be nice to know too!

what are the rules/regs for non US members please? Postage would be more to mail to and from here in Canada. Just wondering as I love snowmen, but can't commit right now as I need to see how my time goes with the class I am starting to take in Sept. =)
