Cool Summer/Fall 2012 Pin Cushion Swap-Sign Up Closes Sept. 15th

This swap is for one handmade pin cushion. You may sign up for 1 or 2 individual pin cushion swaps.
It is a great way to try your hand at a new little project and have fun doing it! Let's be creative, and share ideas, pictures, etc.
Please read through ALL the info below, prior to signing up. If you have questions, please ask!

*This is a secret partner swap! Names will be assigned after the close date. You will be mailing your pin cushion to one person, and another person will be mailing a pin cushion to you!

*Your pin cushion must be made and ready to mail before signing up. We want everyone to get one as intended!
    Sign up closes Sept. 15th.

*Please send a PM to hostess to sign up, and include your board name, your real name and address, and if you can mail international.

*When mailing your pin cushion you MUST get a Delivery Confirmation #. Please send hostess a PM with DC# info. for tracking purposes. (Does not apply to Int'l folks/swaps.)

*Pin cushions need to be mailed by Sept. 22nd.

*Minimum size of pin cushion should be approx. 3" x 3". Helps to keep things fair.

*Sending other goodies is optional, and not required.

Please feel free to post pictures of your creations! They are great for inspiration and imagination!
Remember this is a secret partner swap, so we won't know who gets what!

Please have fun with this everyone!!

Is it possible for international swappers to send their pincushions unstuffed, to save on postage?

Does this have to be something designed or can we use a pattern?

Fiberfill is so light weight it would maybe add 1 penny to a 3x3 pincushion.

You can use a pattern or design, or you can do your own! It is your creativity that you are sharing. Just have fun!

For a bit of weight, you can use rice, or lentils, etc. Have also known of folks using washers and such!

Yosamitesa- usually 100% cottons are mostly used, but use your imagination!

Mariposa, I just sent you a PM to enter me in the swap again. Last swap I got the two best pincushions that were made, so I am looking forward to it again. Thanks for undertaking it again.

I hope you all don't mind, I've never made one of these, but after watching the Needlecase swap going on, and now this starting, I was inspired to make myself a matching set! I'm excited about it.

Very pretty and well done! Very motivating! I am still on the fence for now, due to some other obligations I want to tie up first, over did it for July LOL!
