I have been working at top speed to get some sort of layout together to share with you. Bear in mind I donated half my blocks when I thought K-Rolls blocks were lost. (Which, I am not fussed over. I really didn't mind. I still had plenty to play with. And, It all worked out in the end.) And, a couple of my half of the blocks I am saving for a different quilt.

I will have also add embellishments after quilting. And, I think I'm going to do this one as a quilt as you go. A first for me.

Thank you again ladies. You all made this a great swap. And, here is my tentative quilt top......

The Block with the white center is going to be a hand embroidered Mermaid when it is finished. I just found the border fabric I wanted. And, all the coordinating DMC threads.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

After seeing the top posted here, I am thinking of maybe sashing each block. Probably with White on White and a Cream every other block so the background recedes and doesn't stand out too much. It would really make each block stand out on it's own. Which is a really good thought. What do yall think. Any suggestions???

Looking great Judith and I think adding sashing would give the blocks their own space. Would love to see that mermaid when she gets done.

Judith, i really like your set so far, as far as the borders, i'd have to see it so i'm no good. just wanted to say that everyone made some really nice blocks this go round.
