Thanks Red! I could try darning it, that is, if I knew how to darn - & I just don't see what I could applique in that weird spot. I guess it will be easier to remove the top half, applique the flags to a new piece of fabric, and attach.
I am rethinking my proposed border color too, probably not pale blue, but a robust green like forest or grass.

Hi ladies. I have PM'd Judith twice with an enquiry regarding this swap and haven't as yet heard back. I know she had been having computer issues and is also busy so - Judith I do understand that you are not just ignoring me. 
But, before I even start to think about this swap, I need to know if you are including international. You won't offend me if you say NO!

Oh Deecee, I'm so sorry. I have just pm'd you back and I think I forgot to let you know, Yes, international is fine as well. Since you all will be paying for the mailing, I am fine with whoever wants to join. I also, will get a mailing cost for you and have that for you immediately. I truly am sorry for the delay.
