I've actually been working on my dolls today, and I tried something new. I embroidered my info on the back of my doll. Well, on one doll. The other one is different, and there probably won't be room to embroider on the back of it, but I never make my dolls the same. I can't decide what the outcome will be, either. THey take on a life of their own in the process of creation!

Oh, and I just used my screen name (instead of my sn and my real name) on the doll because there wasn't enough room to put everything. Of course, my sn is really long, though...

It reads:

Created by

CakeArtist
in WV '09

That's all the room I had.

I have tags that I put on clothes I make, but those are just my real-life initials, which would mean very little to folks here, and there is no date as well. I may end up pinning the info to the dolls, and the recipients can decide how they want to handle it... don't want to give much away, but the tag could be hidden if they wanted it so.

Well, I ran out of time to do fabric tags... my dolls have info pinned to 'em, though. All mailed out, priority, so you should see them really soon!

I embroidered info on the back of one, but I forgot to embroider on the other before I had the fabric sewn together. I just took a piece of white fabric and wrote my info on it with a fabric marker and glued it to the back of the doll. Now that I think about it, I wish I would have done that differently...maybe using a darker fabric to blend in a little better or a smaller label... or something. It's on the back of the doll. You may be able to remove it if you want.

I'm going over the the pictures section to make a post for our PICTURES. Please post pictures of the dolls you receive there. Please post pictures of the dolls you have made after they have been received by their new mommies. :D Thanks!

Due to my daughter being ill I was unable to mail Friday and I forgot the package this morning so I will be mailing them priority tomorrow to both my partners.
Thanks so much I had so much fun with this swap! And I am so excited to see my dolls. I am actually going to hang them from my daughters track lighting in her room :-)
Hugs
April
