Default 12x12 closed craft box

How handy are the 12" square, plastic. sealable scrapbook boxes for UFOs or other quilting room items? I see they're on sale 3 for the price of 1 at Michaels today only. Wondering if they're worth the space they take up? Better than drawers?

I use them to store all the manuals, discs, and extra presser feet, cords, etc. specific to a machine. I put a label on the front of each, and one container is designated for each of my machines. I also have EQ7 and Stitch in one, and embroidery discs in another. Great for keeping everything in one place.

I have 8. I like to put my projects in them. I can see right away what's in in. they can also be used for a light box. Just drop an led light in it and start tracing. I can put the fabric I'm going to use along with the pattern and anything else (matching thread) notes. I label the front so I know what's in it at a glance. Don't have to worry about bugs getting into your projects. Just for the heck of it, I put 2 king size sheets in one and it works. Lets me know I can put a king size top in it. I buy the clear/clear not tinted clear but up to individual. easy to carry. That is a great price since they're usually $10.00 at regular price. You can store flat or right side up.

I have at least 10 of them. I just love them to keep my working projects organized. Well worth the investment!

Great ideas. I wouldn't have thought of a light box! I went ahead and bought 3 for $10 and am tempted to back for 3 more. I bought clear as well.

I prefer to hang my UFOs in a closet on hangers.

I love these containers and find many uses for them in my sewing areas. I have my cutting table set up in my living room, so when I need to get a project put away in a hurry they are perfect storing cut blocks, fabrics and pattern. Then it's all together when I can get the table out again. Really nice when you can get them at the sale price!

I use them to store fabrics, patterns and specialty tools for quilts in the making. I really like these boxes. For an already started project I put in a note outlining what has been done and what needs to be done next. Saves so much time when everything is stored in one place.
