Not only a thoughtful design, but a great way to keep your fabric out of the sunlight and dust until you get ready to use it. Looks perfect to me!

I love this idea. I want my husband to make a cutting table for me. I have one that is behind my sewing table but would love to have one that I can stand up and cut. I think it would be easier to be able to move around the table to cut material. LOVE IT!!!

Great cutting center! Tell us how you fold your fabric, please. I need to use drawers for large pieces of fabric. I like the way you have yours sized. Enjoy the space!

Did quite a bit of thinking on how I wanted my cutting table to be and this is what I came up with. It was made similar to my kitchen island so far as the top, and I had 12 drawers of various depths in it. The top three are deep enough for the little items like rotary cutters and thread. The rest of the drawers will hold my material once I get it folded to fit the drawers. I have about 5 of the drawers filled now. I am working on a Dear Jane quilt right now with the group on the forum and I think this idea will really help speed up the process of picking the color for each of the blocks. Will be really neat to just pull out a drawer and see a selection instead of digging though the storage bins I have had to keep my material in for the past 40 years.
Wow so great, gives me an idea....I have a old buffet or dresser it is and could do this as well with my FQ and small pcs. of mtl. Would not take up room on my book shelves either..........could use the top of it too for layout, thanks and yours is so great......just to open the drawer and there is what u need
