Ice cubes???

this is a great idea, too. i had an internet quilting friend who also fished and found uses for many items there... she used the circular holder for fishing line on the rod to add to her machine to help keep the thread in line.

I have purchased covered ice cube trays before at Bed Bath and Beyond. Their purpose is to keep the ice cubes odor free and also to keep them from evaporating. They are also helpful if you want to dump out just a few and not the whole tray. I keep one in my dresser for pierced earrings.

[QUOTE=Stitchit123;6713255]? Why would some one put a lid on ice cube trays ? weird.QUOTE]
I would think that it would keep the ice cubes from absorbing odors; also prevent the evaporation process which occurs with the automatic defrosting process. I've never seen these trays. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them.
