Default Ideas for the small things

I had 3 sewing areas before we down sized and I had duplicate tools plus I also kept misplacing the tools once I found them. I would forget what drawer I put them in and it was frustrating. I went to the Container Store and bought amac boxes in different sizes and colors to hold the different small tools that I keep finding. I used the label maker so I know what is in them and have the boxes on my window sill. I use the boxes for screwdrivers, rotary blades (a box for each size), empty bobbins, needle threaders, thimbles, sewing machine needles (a box for each kind), hand sewing needles, fabric markers, .....

You're right! The boxes are ideal for storing small things. And cheerfully colorful, too.

Love that store! Your system looks colorful and organized!

I use these small file drawer sets with the tray inserts for small items.

I love your boxes and also the small drawer cabinets.

Thank you both for not only posting but also including links to the products you used!

I'll bet when the curtain is raised and the sun shines through, your window will look like stained glass. Must be very pretty.
