I wrote a couple of months ago that I was moving at age 65 KC area to Dallas area with my son (only child), his wife and grand daughter. Well my husband and I are in an apartment here in Grapevine both son and dil are out of town on business and we are caring for our gd. I have always had a difficult time adapting to change and now those old feelings are back. I am still struggling about what to do we still have our house in KC and my husband spends time there but came down to help this week. If I stay in KC I will not see my gd that often and if I stay in TX area I will not see the rest of my family and friends very often. I just want to take my time and make this decision and not sell my KC house yet. But my husband wants to sell the house (which we were going to do before the Tx thing came up)and buy a different one either in KC or TX but I'm not ready to make that choice yet. My son and dil think we are planning on moving with them to TX and "everything will be ok". Like I said before I have been there for them babysitting and anything else they needed but with my gd going to school now I am not needed as often but they would not have anyone else here to help out if needed. I don't know if I am the only one who gets this sick feeling during change or if others do too. I know my son and dil are young and they think of it as an adventure.-me not so much.
