    New Sewing Room

This has been on my bucket list for a while. I finally got the space to have a room dedicated just to sewing after my daughter moved out.

I know what I thought I was making when I started this quilt, but it has changed several times since then.

I know right! I like the convenience of having a second thread color ready to go.

That's exactly what we did with our DD's room after she moved out. It's now my sewing room & I love it! Your's looks a lot like mine....two big windows right in front of my sewing machine only where your closet is to the right, mine is to the left. I know you will enjoy it!

Looks wonderful! Isn't it nice to have space to have more than one machine set up? Have fun!

Very nice sewing room and I am very jealous. I had my dedicated sewing room for about 6 months and then our DD and 3 granddaughers moved in after she left her husband. Oh well, we could give her a safe place to live and I love getting to know the granddaughters. Back to the dining room table to sew!

That’s a great room! I’m jealous of the two chairs. And a clean floor...and well, I’m just jealous! :-)

Congrats on having your own sewing space. I am looking for a sewing cabinet and I like how yours has the extensions on both sides. Can you please share the name of your sewing cabinet? Enjoy many happy hours in your happy place.

Thanks. I love my new room. The big cabinet for my sewing room is made by Arrow. I bought it from overstock and here's the link. https://www.overstock.com/Crafts-Sew...2/product.html
It's a little pricey and took a few hours to assemble, but it was a birthday present! I really like the air lift feature. Also if you go to the Arrow company website you can purchase a custom insert to fit around your machine when sewing flat with the table. I just ordered mine and it has not arrived yet.
I know what I thought I was making when I started this quilt, but it has changed several times since then.

Amen to that! I have a 'dedicated' sewing room but it's not nearly that neat! Enjoy!

Looks like you have lots of natural light to sew by. I like having my machine by a window. Nice setup in your room. Isn't it great to have a dedicated room?
