Oh, you are so lucky to have such a large place to lay things out! I have to do this within 2,small rooms but it works. I just have to keep things straightened a lot. Enjoy and thank you for sharing as it is beautiful!

lovely space and nice it includes your DH

Enjoy your special space that is set aside for you to sew. I know from experience that it will be a while before you really hit you stride for comfort of your surroundings. The term used above for 'neat' are really elusive as well as personal. Just enjoy your space and find joy in being there.

I am drooling over your space!!! Thanks for showing us. I can only dream of an area that large as I live in a small ranch. Beautifully set up.

Very, very nice. I love the furniture piece that stores your fabric!

A wonderful quilting loft!

I just love your space. We had similar a few years back. DH completely remodeled it as a craft room, moved all my mags, table, machine etc. in there and a few years later lightening struck the house and burned us out :-(.

Gorgeous space!

mac 08-03-2016 09:36 AM

Woo-hoo! I am jealous. I just love the open space. However, I seem to do better with a lot of chaos. Don't know why. If it is clean and neat, my brain won't work. LOL

Enjoy your studio! It looks so open and airy then love the chair for hubby to enjoy the TV while you sew. Perfect...

Thank you. I guess it is not, it is a one piece cabinet from Restoration Hardware.

I am not big on fat quarters, i have just two cases like this.
And I dont keep scraps, i cut them up after each project and store them as pictured. I got the sizes here on the quiltboard a while ago. It saves a ton of space!

What a fantastic sewing room. You are very luck and your fabric organization is fabulous. Enjoy!

StrayCat 08-06-2016 06:19 AM

I could mess that up in a heartbeat with a dozen WIPs and a lot of scraps, but your room is SOOOO beautiful! I love your glass cabinet. Were it mine, at least one shelf would be books.

AUQuilter 08-06-2016 09:20 AM

What a wonderful space for sewing! And your DH gets to see how much you enjoy it.

zzmom 08-06-2016 10:51 AM

Wow! Beautiful space! And I love how you manage your scraps. Mine are a mess. I need to just take a week or two and do something with mine.

Claire123 08-10-2016 09:20 PM

I think it's absolutely great now and can't imagine that it needs anything else! Love it.

What a wonderful studio! Great work space, nice storage, and a design wall even! Fun that your hubby wants to come up and hang out with you! :)

vcquan 08-28-2016 04:32 PM

Is the sewing table custom made for your machine or store bought?

117becca 09-11-2016 02:27 AM

lots2do 09-12-2016 06:14 AM

What a great space. I've always thought a loft would be the perfect sewing space. Your design wall is very attractive too. And so big! Enjoy your space.

JuneBillie 09-17-2016 08:39 PM

Congratulations on your beautiful sewing studio!!! :)

jmoore 09-22-2016 05:13 PM

What a great open sewing space. I'm sure you'll enjoy many hours of quilting creativity.

ube quilting 09-22-2016 05:41 PM

It is coming along nicely. My studio also has a seating area to read or watch TV. My DH sits with me while I sew all the time. He is a great support and my biggest fan.
I love your room.:D
peace

It still needs tons of work (like nice lights and hardwood floor) but it already looks the way we wanted. See that huge recliner? That was planned for my DH way before we found the house :)

WoW...congrats! that is a beautiful room & love that big glass cabinet-So happy for you.
