ROFL Carpet Bears! Yup I got those if I do not vacuum.

I will tell you a story about the laminate wood flooring. I had it in my last sewing room and it was great to keep clean. I like the idea of mopping because I think it is cleaner but that is not the story.

I was cutting blocks on my cutting table and for some reason I dropped the rotary cutter. It nicked the floor pretty good. It was fine but that is just one of the silly things that happens in my world.

Thank you for all of the reply!
Just in case any wants to know my decision - (this was made out o budget cuts for m sewing room) ~ really I think that budgets should go out the window in everyone's sewing room!!!
I have to keep the carpet that was in there (low pile brown-ish/orange-ish/tan-ish) because {DRUM ROLL} I GET A NEW DOOR!!! The sacrifices I have to make!

I put laminate flooring in my new room and love it. I put a rug under my sewing table for some warmth. I just put on slippers. So easy to just sweep up the threads and such.
