You need a couch and a comfy King size bed too. I am missing the bathroom but do have a sink and microwave. Great studio!

Wow - what a great space! Mine's not nearly as large or wonderful as yours but I do see one thing we have in common that I wish I could change: My design wall, like yours, is at the end of my long-arm. It's "okay" for laying the quilt out but if I want to take a picture of something on the wall I have to be a contortionist leaning over the quilt frame to try and get a straight-on shot. I also wish I would have put it closer to my sewing machine so I could take things off the wall directly to the machine for piecing. Congratulations on the room - it's awesome!

This is going to be a fantastic space. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of it!

It looks wonderful. I think you need one of those little dorm refrigerators and you would never have to come out. Hehehe!

Just wondering how things went with your building of new studio. I am in the planning stages, do you have any advise for me. Were you happy with the finished size? I am thinking go ether 16 by 20 or 20 by 20.

KwiltyKahy 06-07-2014 01:55 PM

Awesome. If you added a small refrigerator and a microwave you could live there.

Sewnoma 06-07-2014 03:02 PM

Nice!! So handy to have each machine in its own station, instead of having to swap things around.

Definitely need some kind of "hospitality" area though - coffee/tea..maybe some protein bars or something to keep your stamina up!

CherryPie 06-07-2014 06:29 PM

I am sooooo jealous!!! It's going to be a fantastic area for your quilting. You are one lucky lady, I must say!!!! Please keep pictures coming with the progress. :hunf:

DebbE 06-28-2014 07:16 PM

A place for a tea kettle, small frig for snacks (plus 1/2 & 1/2 for tea, if it was me!), some cups, small plates, silverware, a place for snacks when friends come over to quilt with you. How wonderful!

wolph33 06-29-2014 09:13 AM

wow-that is gonna be awesome-lucky you.

beckyj 01-03-2016 03:41 PM

For space beside the sink, a fold down shelf that fits over toilet as needed. or supports for a shelf that can be set up temporarily.

Snooze2978 01-05-2016 09:13 AM

Love your layout. What about a little kitchenette with sink so you don't have to leave your area? I have a bay window area in my basement and it was the perfect place to add a double sink right over the drain and didn't take up any room. Added my old microwave on a cart to the side. Once I'm down in my "Play Room" I rarely leave it till its dinner time.
