FQ & charm pack storage
1 Attachment(s)
I found a wonderful way to store these. My sister owned a store that sold greeting cards. She had a card stand that she no longer needed. I snatched it up and now store my FQ's and charm packs in it. It holds them perfectly!

Perfect and now they are all visible instead of lost like in my sewing room.

Clever idea...I have an old small box that I put many of my fat qtrs in and use it as decorate in my livingroom...people have no idea that its for my quilts and they love it...I love it.

what a great idea!! Thanks for sharing.

Great idea. I like your pegboard with screw drivers on it, too. I never thought of keeping my own screw drivers in my craft space. I think I'll go buy a set just for me so I'll always know where to find them. Hmm, maybe pink handles so everybody knows they're mine...

Great idea! Neat too!

I purchased an old mail sorter cabinet. Has just the right size to store all of my FQ & 1/2 yds. Bought it at antique shop & the gal asked what I was going to do with it , she said well I wish I would have thought of that, it wouldn't have gone in the shop. Narrow & doesn't take up much space but holds lots of fabric.

That's an awesome way to display/store your FQs! I have a similar way, but it is behind my closet door. This rack system was often used for storing VHS movies. I used to store notions on these shelves, but have recently decided to put my FQ's there so they're easier to see. This is still a work in progress, have more to do, but you get the idea.

Great idea - now if I just knew someone with a card store!!

Okay I can see quilters riding by dumpsters looking for card racks. You know it will happen and I plan on looking this afternoon. Great idea.

Cool idea! I want one!

Great idea for seeing your FQ's quickly, and they don't take up too much room.
|
What a great idea, and I ACTUALLY have one in the garage.....thanks.
|
I'm jealous!!! Great idea and doesn't take up much space.
|
That is so pretty to look at! It doesn't take up as much room as a dress form would and is so cute to boot. Thanks for sharing.
|
Very good idea!

GREAT idea - I'd like to go "shopping" in your sewing room!!! :)

Nifty and neat. In the eye and out of the way. Sounds like a bargain to me!

I wish I saw this sooner. A paper store went out of business and had racks like this for sale.

I discovered this by accident. I have bought 4 total so far and each cost me less than $2.50. :) they work perfectly and actually take up very little space. I don't store all my fat qtrs here, just current ones I might be working with in near future. Btw, charms packs fit just right....notice on left upper shelves
