I try to tidy up everyday after I sew! I have cats and worry about pins and stray threads. I’ve learned it’s easier to get started on sewing if everything is in the right area,.

Me too, I put small and sharp things away, kitty loves thread spools to bat around:). Cold and cover with a towel (for mouth to sleep on) the project I'm quilting.

Well, I'm a retired elementary teacher, which is the definition of a multi-tasker! And my mantra is, "I'm not very domestic." . I have a space set up for sewing that I designed into our new home. I have more ideas than time. I leave current project as is so that I can sew when I have opportunity. I use these large lap trays from Wal-Mart for each project materials etc. They stack well.
I put clutter in closet, which needs a major overhaul "when I get caught up"!

I'm a bit like that myself. Organised chaos for me and rarely forget where something is. I clean/organize when i feel the need and have the want  Multi-tasking is great
