First thing I notice was all the wonderful lighting - that's something I need in my room. Then the cabinets, then the flooring, then the overall BIG space. It's a wonderful room!

Love it! You have the same color wall and floor color as I do - even the design wall! But it looks like you have much bigger closet space and a much bigger open area. Congrats on your new space - I was so excited when my space was finally converted. Have fun creating in your new space!

This is just what I was thinking. I especially noticed the floors. Are they laminate or what? We want to replace our dark floors with a lighter color because the dark shows every piece of lint.

Looking forward to seeing the creations that come out of this wonderful sewing space.

LOVE your space. It's terrific. Sorry to hear about your flooring problems; was the material labeled for below-grade use?

the floors are vinyl peel-and-stick wood look. I love that they are easy clean up, but they don't want to stay stuck down. Bummer! Some of the tile planks are popping up. We followed install instructions so not sure why. While doing my research, a saw that other people had some issues with this brand of flooring too while some said it was wonderful. It doesn't keep me from sewing but we are constantly pushing the tiles down. I may have to use some gorilla glue!

Fantastic space! Love, love, love it. The lighting is fantastic. And those cupboards... where did you get them!?! Hubby is working on a space for me that's NOT in the basement & I would love that kind of storage :)

ube quilting 09-20-2013 01:50 PM

You have an awesome space. What I call "A room of ones own." I can almost see you smiling as you finish each new project in your great space.
peace

Wow fabulous space, enjoy using it!!

neece 09-24-2013 06:04 AM

It looks like it should be a"centerfold" in a quilt magazine! Wonderful! By the way I live in IN and might "be in the neighborhood"

Kequilts 09-25-2013 04:23 PM

love the cabinet wall! what a great addition

Mariposa 09-26-2013 05:01 PM

Neat space!! Lots of room to be creative! :)

Rose L 12-30-2013 03:53 PM

What an incredible sewing studio!! Good things come to those who wait ;) Congratulations on finally getting your dream studio!!

On your vinyl plank flooring, I know it's peel and stick but many of the reviews suggest using a vinyl glue in addition. I love this flooring! I'm using the vinyl glue and putting it in throughout my entire home. I chose the dark oak and so many people come in and ask if it's real wood. The price is too good to pass it up and it's wonderful with dogs!!

needles3thread 12-30-2013 05:38 PM

Wow, look at those cabinets & the design wall-terrific. Happy for you.

lots2do 12-30-2013 06:33 PM

CookyIN 01-01-2014 01:30 PM

What a wonderful space! You deserve it after the long wait. Enjoy every minute in it -- may it bring you many years of pleasure!

cherylmae 01-04-2014 08:19 AM

Wow, that is so nice. I may have to look for those metal drawer containers for under my sewing area for leftover fabric pieces.

quiltjoey 01-06-2014 08:45 PM

Oh, my goodness! I have a small room and only dream about one like yours! Your studio is just beautiful!! I know you will love it!

amethystmtn 01-06-2014 09:19 PM

Great design. Creative juices will flow! I think calling it your studio instead of sewing room kicks it up a notch too.
Don't let your son's hobby move into it. My boys keep trying to move stuff into my sewing room. If there's extra space I must need more fabric, right?
