I'd use it for rolls of stabilizer or batting. If you can't find a use for it, I can!!!!

Are the shelves large enough for books?

You could actually use it for fabric, magazines, patterns, etc. Very nice with a fresh coat of paint you could do wonders with it.

I have one kinda like that--we put a coat of white paint on it and EVERYTHING ELSE goes on it--books, boxes and tins of stuff, vcr tapes, cds, and on top of it is my flat screen tv that can be turned to whichever direction where I am currently working or reclining. I snagged mine from my son who is a "storage wars type" and whenever he goes out and comes back with a trailer full of stuff, I am the first one in line to see what treasures he has found.

I would consider mounting on a wall at an angle so you would have square storage areas for the most part. Does that make sense? I know what I'm trying to say, but not sure anyone else will understand.

I was thinking this same thing. With the shelves at an angle fabric would end up sinking with wrinkles in it I think.

Me too - paint it white, mount on wall at angle - great for fabric!

Yes, that type of shelf is commonly used in yarn stores. But, it could certainly hold fabric too! Just needs a little sprucing up.

Whatever you use it for,
it will be GREAT.

Definitely, paint and use for fabric.
