A last, a place to quilt!
 

My DH finally finished off our lower level and gave it all to me! We are both newly retired and I think he got tired of listening to my sewing machine during his TV shows! We didn't need another family room-so it is all mine for me and my quilting friends.

Wow! Really wonderful. I love your ironing table. So much more practical than a standard ironing board. Heck, I love all of it. Way to go, hubby!

Awesome! I have to say when only son graduated college then bought his own house I was feeling a lil "empty nesty"...then dh and I decided to send pool table and other game room stuff with son. I then inherited a lot of room.. I love having my own areas to spread out and quilt in. Hubby has his workshop and I have mine, so to speak..lol. Enjoy yours...rooms AND hubby!!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. However, remember the size of the room has nothing to do with the quality of the quilt! I still consider myself a confident beginner. I have a good friend who sews award winning quilts on a TV tray! I hope someday I can do something half as good. Yes, I am very lucky to have my DH who is my high school sweetheart and has always been very supportive!

First, your space is just fabulous but you are so wise to recognize that space does not dictate the quality of the work. Compared to you, I don't have a lot of room. Compared to others, I have tons of space. The one thing that screams out to me in your space is the amount of open wall you have for a design wall. Makes me drool!! :) But I have often found myself in awe of some quilters that I'm aware of that do all their creations in a very tiny space.
