My Craft-Sewing room
 

This is a basement area and my little piece of Heaven. I am new to quilting but have always loved to sew and craft. I recently purchased the Grace quilting frame but haven't had a chance to use her yet.
The peg board was an idea my son David had. We spray painted a primer onto the slick surface, then
he drew the quilt from a stencil he cut out for me. I hand painted the quilt, but it isn't quite finished yet. A project for after Christmas.

LOVE IT! The pegboard quilt is just creative, you guys are talented! Also loved the idea of how the laptop was set up I need to do something like myself so that Idont keep going back and forth from the dining room to the sewing room to look at what I'm doing. That's why I'm getting an ipad later on! :)

Your creative space is great. I am sure in such a space you'll be able to turn out gorgeous quilts!!!

What a great space. Is that a Bernina 1530 or 1630 I see? I have a 1530 that I love. I love the painted peg board. Very clever. Have fun.

How lucky you are to have such a beautiful, creative and CLEAN space!

I felt the same way, not wanting to hang things over top of the painting. Actually all the rulers are hanging on the gray part off the quilt so it doesn't distract from the quilt too much. Thanks for looking.

Thanks to everyone for your nice comments. My Bernina is the 1630 I've had for almost 18 years and it still sews perfectly. I also recently got the Janome 300E which sits to my left and I'm enjoying it also.

I like your set up. I have the same cutting table and a Grace frame that I have yet to put a machine on. Oh, and I also have a Bernina. Mine is a 2004 Artista. Happy Quilting. Most of all, have a very blessed Merry Christmas.

Can you please tell me where you bought your cutting table? I like the hinged area that saves space.

The cutting table was purchased at JoAnn's many years ago, but they still carry them. One person had posted here that she had recently gotten one and it was flimsy. Mine is not and others here had replied that they purchased years ago and loved their's also. I have used mine for many things and carrying it up and down the stairs over the years the hinges had gotten bent. My DH removed the old hinges and put piano hinges on instead. It is like a new table now. Just perfect! Both sides fold down and it will store in a small space.
