File a complaint with the state against the electrician and the BBB and have your attorney send him a letter that it didn't pass and if he doesn't fix it to bring it up to code, you'll see him in court. Get his license number (for electrician). Should be on any information (paperwork) that has his name on it. Don't be nice just let him know you know what is to be done. Did he get permits to do this and not post on the room addition? Tell him you want to see them. The inspector may be able to check this information for you. Did you check references before hiring electrician and plumber? All this goes for the plumber too.

I do like the layout and it will be wonderful to work in. It is so bright. Love the natural lighting and that gorgeous tiffany lamp. My comment was the real estate agent in me who has been on a few builds and inspections. I really do wish you the best and hope you get to use your room very very soon.

It will be a lovely space for sewing. Sometimes it's the inspector who is wrong, but in any case the electrician should get it sorted out right away.

I can bet that you will find wonderful uses for that soon to be blocked in pole. Hanging rulers on it or skinny wall hangings. This is so exciting seeing your progress.

Can you have a plug in at the pole or above it so you have power there.
