If you were creative before, I can hardly imagine just what wonderful things you will now create in that light, airy, wonderful space. Thanks for sharing.

the thread holders are wooden ones from walmart there are 9 of them and are hanging on pegboard

Wow oh WOW on your sewing room and quilts and stash. You must have won the lottery to have all this in less than a year. Love it 0;-)

Delta 06-18-2012 06:02 AM

man oh man I wanna come play at your house. I do a lot of bright color quilts myself and just love yours. We also have a few men in my quilt guild and bee that sew. nice job and congrats on your quilts and quilt room.

oma66 06-18-2012 06:42 AM

What an awesome room and look at all those supplies! Very impressive indeed. Happy quilting...looking forward to seeing your work.

sewbeeit42 06-18-2012 06:52 AM

Your space is lovely and well organized. However, I would suggest that you either put a strong UV protection on the window, or cover your fabrics as they will easily fade in the light. Even room lights can fade fabric.

Liz22 06-18-2012 07:20 AM

Love this!! I would ove to work here all day ,,

SandScraps 06-18-2012 08:20 AM

Wow, Guy Quilter, I am in awe - of both the room and your lovely work.

fireworkslover 06-18-2012 11:09 AM

WOW - everything looks great. Do you have a vertical design wall or do you use your cutting table?
As everyone else has already said - jealous... but glad you shared pictures.

wandatn 06-18-2012 02:06 PM

Wow, what a lovely setup! So many fabrics and quilting goodies. Have a blast in your awesome quilting room!

Wonderful room setup and great contents! LOVE the way you have the chrome shelving units set up. I have the similar shelving units and never thought to set them up "with shelves in between" the units. I wonder if your shelving unit came set up that way. ??? Thanks for posting

grammy27 06-23-2012 02:03 AM

You have some great organization ideas. the quilts are great, good color sense.

grandmerequilter 06-23-2012 11:32 AM

Good grief, what a stash! And in such a short time! Great space and really terrific quilts on the wall, too.

Grandma58 06-23-2012 05:47 PM

Ok I have to ask, if your not married I think you should marry me, or at least organize my studio. Yours is very lovely!

bikerbarb 06-24-2012 01:13 AM

However did you amass such a large amount of fabric? What is holding your threads on the pegboard?

Knitette 06-24-2012 02:06 AM

Love, love LOVE your room. As a highly organised (UK spelling!) person this is what I aspire to. Unfortunately (for them) I'll have to chuck my grandchildren out of their playroom first..........

sewbeadit 06-24-2012 02:10 AM

Awesome "man cave"!

TammyB 06-24-2012 07:22 AM

Wow, what a fantastic space! You've got it all! You sure have a stash going for only beginning to quilt last August. If you need to get rid of any of those bolts of fab, let me know. I'll help take them off your hands. LOL!

lue 06-24-2012 07:34 AM

No no no! Don't TELL me you've amassed that much fabric in less than a year AND have such beautiful quilts on the wall already AND have organized your space so exquisitely!!! You may be new to quilting but I know you're not new to fabrics! What did you do with fabrics before you began quilting last August? It's all so BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm going to organize my room AGAIN so that I can be like you when I grow up.

lue 06-24-2012 07:41 AM

Well, I can't imagine knowing what I want to do with a fabric BEFORE I purchase it! What would be the fun in that?! I too organized my artist studio a few months ago and in preparing to go on my quilt guild retreat it became disorganized again and has not returned to its usual state. Notice how I write this as though the disarray all happened with no help from me. I'm home with my daughter who just had brain surgery so while she sleeps I'll work on that room and get some quilting done!
